Title says it all. Just sayin. Not like there is something I want to get or anything. At all.

I'm going to assume we're talking about USD, just say if you meant another currency.

You can't directly buy exactly 1000 points, because you can only buy points in the bundles, and there's no 1000-point bundles (nor a combination that adds to exactly 1000). The bundles are:
400 points - $5 - 80 points per dollar
1320 points - $15 - 88 points per dollar
4600 points - $50 - 92 points per dollar
9600 points - $100 - 96 points per dollar

If we use the lowest bundle as our price guideline, 1000 points is $12.50. Larger bundles would be slightly cheaper. But, assuming you have zero points to start, there's no way to obtain >=1000 points for less than $15.

Yeesh. Just noticed that the 1000 point price is actually half the intended price. So, at lowest price, the set is a $25 buy. (after this week)

Q: How do you wreck an Abrams?

A: You crash into another one.

Unless a Freem buys the VIP Starter Kit which is temporarily on sale for .99 cents which gets him 400 points and then spends $10 bucks to get another 800 points netting him 1200 points for $10.99.

True in the general case, but OneFrigidWitch's gold name says that's not an option for him/her. Of course, the gold name also means "assuming you have zero points to start" is not necessarily a good assumption, but hopefully it illustrates how things work.

Of course, to be pedantic, I'd bet that somewhere in the EULA it explicitly says that paragon points have no cash value. Therefore 1000 points are worth the same as 100000 points, zero dollars. This is of course different from how much they cost you to obtain, but it's something worth keeping in mind if you need to factor such things into your budget.

TBH I mentioned it in case any Freems that were interested in the topic of this thread might read about the kit being on sale and decide to buy it. Heck even if they only pick up the kit I'm happy.
