AI Bug of BM Pets.

The AI of the pets from Beast Mastery is really annoying.
For example running the last mish of the ITF. The team was beating down romi 3 times, than we stop because of DC's and cleared the map. Always when I give my pets a target that wasnt the AV, they ran of to Romi...only setting them on passiv makes them follow me.

Another example would be Tip mish, very time a had to defeat a "boss" and had to talk to him the pets stay on that beaten target and even ignore in BG modus other mobs beating me.

Plz fix it.

Sidenote: The new temp power "Tsoo Sorcerer" is wild teleporting through maps and drawing aggro.

All MM pets have broken AI.

Tsoo Sorcerer: Did the Sorc have a debuff aura on it? I haven't noticed this behavior, but then I usually take those jerks out pretty quickly.

"You don't lose levels. You don't have equipment to wear out, repair, or lose, or that anyone can steal from you. About the only thing lighter than debt they could do is have an NPC walk by, point and laugh before you can go to the hospital or base." -Memphis_Bill
We will honor the past, and fight to the last, it will be a good way to die...

i believe the tsoo temp pet has all the same powers as a normal tsoo sorcerer

But my Thugs or Demons didnt do that, not attacking my given target, with tips i'm not sure.

the Tsoo has Hurricane, but he also ports into the next mob, got hit, teleports again into the next group, than he dies - all aggro on me^^.

Ah, haven't done the new low-level stuff yet. Just bought discounted character slots and created a Street Justice alt finally. It may be a while.

Also happens in BAF very annoying. I think they always attack ambushes or something and ignore all other attack orders

It seems that pets in general (not just MM Pets) have certain problems finding the position of their target.

My guess is that the pets don't get an update on the actual position of their target. They are correctly set to attack the target you assigned them to but they think it's somewhere else.

So this bug might be related to the problems pets have with knockback. When a pet's target get's knocked around it still seems to think that target is where it was before the knockback. Pets with ranged attacks may nevertheless be able to shoot at that target even though they think it's somewhere else but pure melee pets then just stand there and fail to attack since there's nothing there. Only when the target stands up again, the pets get the new position. Sometimes foes get stuck lying on the floor after knock back and the BM Pets just keep sitting at the old position forever. I managed to push that stuck foe into melee range of the pets and they attacked just fine.

With the problems you described the pets might not get ANY updates on the position of their targets (with the knockback problems you can at least have your pets attack something else).

If you guys run into those problems again, please try to bring the target into attack range of your pets. If your pets then shoot at that target we at least know that the problem probably is somehow related to the pets not getting the position of the target and not some weird aggro effects. That would really narrow it down and help the devs fixing it.

Every since the introduction of their four legged rig certain pets for Doms, Trollers and MM's have been bugged.

The devs are in fact most certainly AWARE of this if you take my in game tickets alone...They know..TRUST ME THEY KNOW.

Now the only question becomes what do they do about it? The simple answer so far has been nothing and just ignore it until we can get all of these revenue builders like LIGERS onto the market first. Pathetic.

Later this year we "might" see this acknowledged and addressed in a professional manner. All we get right now is the standard pound sanding silence they give us when things get uncomfortable for them to deal with in a more direct manner. Typically pathetic.

The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

Yes, they know. Stuff in ALL CAPS goes straight to them.

All this time, and I didn't realize you were on the coding/debugging staff at Paragon. Since that is the only way you'd know they're doing nothing. And that they have the development people not working on the bug too, since they obviously must be the same group. Obviously.

Yes, because they obviously must inform us, their paying customers, of every action they take, every bug on their to do list, the organization and priorities on said list and the exact date and time that every bug will, without deviation, be dealt with.

Does that about cover it for you, chief?

Where to find me after the end:
The Secret World - Arcadia - Shinzo
Rift - Faeblight - Bloodspeaker
LotRO - Gladden - Aranelion
STO - Holodeck - @Captain_Thiraas

Obviously, I don't care about NCSoft's forum rules, now.

This really shouldn't suprise anyone.
That's jutst how Tsoo Sorceres act.
When you're fighting them on an office map and every few seconds they disapear for about 5-10 seconds, they've just ported to a random spot on the map.

If you ever confuse them they do the same thing, he'll TP out to a random spot on the map, take a swing or 2 at whoever's in attack range, the TP back to your location. The attacked mobs don't run to attack you, because of the way Confuse works, mobs attacked by a confused mob don't aggro on you. Unfortunately, a pet Sorcerer will cause anything it hits to aggro on you instantly.

Really the only way to stop it would be to remove the telport ability from the pet. But not sure if they can seperate it from the pet without removing it from all sorcerers in the game
(Don't get me wrong, anyone who fights Tsoo on Cavern Maps in a defeat all would cheer at this change, but I don't see that happening after all this time)
