I recently soloed the ITF on my SS/Energy Aura brute, Flawless Fusion.

I had heard of people doing this, and I wanted to see if I could do it myself. I did some search-fu, and loaded up on shivan pets, warburg nukes, envenomed daggers, ultimate inspirations, etc.

I only set the difficulty at +0/x1, just to see if I could accomplish such a feat, started FRAPS recording, and headed off into the TF. The final time was 1:58:15. This time could have substantially been shorter, had I not taken a couple of breaks, and wasted a HUGE amount of time on the last Rommy fight.

I'll be loading the rest over the next couple of days.

I have heard, and read a bit about 'pulling rommy' out of LoS of the nictus, to ensure his death, but after about 30 minutes of trying this technique to no avail, I simply went right after rom and won.

In short, it was the most fun I have had in a long time, and posed a great challenge in of itself, soloing a task force.

Now, I want to further challenge myself and attempt a solo MoITF at +4/x8.

My questions are:

Is there a step by step informative description of this "pulling rommy" technique, and would it ensure my victory of a solo MoITF?

Also, this is my current build that I used to solo the first ITF, Is there advice, critiques, power choices, or any other useful information to help ensure my MoITF run in the future?

Well, they aren't exactly short videos. Give people enough time to watch them!

Nice job! You've got me wondering if maybe I can try this with my DM/EA. I'll have to look at your build when I have some time to tinker in Mids.

Kudos to the achievement!

@Rylas

Kill 'em all. Let XP sort 'em out.

Well I don't really have any advice to give as this is sort of out of my range of CoH knowledge. I do have the comment however that your avatar is great! I'm pretty sure however that the cimore..cimorare...the Roman guys would make quick work of my defenses I were to try this.

I only started in on the 1st part. I noticed on your second Cybil spawn that you didn't take out the Surgeon first. You probably could have saved a bit of time throughout the whole TF if you make Surgeons your first kill and then killing the non buffers.

Congratulations tho! I want to do this on a few of my toons too.

Nice Job!

You know, every time I try to solo an AV on my SS toons, it is judt epic fail.

If I recall correctly to detach the nictus from Rommy's hip you actually have to beat him to his spawn point by teleporting in. I may be incorrect in this, as I have never tried this.

That isn't exactly correct. Teleporting in is probably the most reliable and foolproof way of detaching him. However, I have done this countless times by simply running straight in to the plaza. (I always did it by flying straight in and dropping down on the last mountain before the plaza, then dropping down and flashing in to position). But again, I stress that it is all about speed here. A toon without superspeed won't have a chance of doing it if he isn't teleporting. As long as you make it in to the cutscene, you have a chance to break him from his healing nictus.

Ahh okay, thanks for the knowledge Magikwand. Like I had said never had tried it before, but good to hear from someone who has
