Generally I tend to get more feedback if I at least throw something together. It doesn't have to be great, just do your best and people will see what they can improve. The numbers in mids should be correct for def powers. Or you could even look in-game now.
Best of luck with the character. Can also check the scrapper's forum as that combo is more common on scrappers. -
Another tip is to get the theft of essence proc as soon as possible. It will help keep Dark Regen from draining you every time you use it.
And now for the build which is also a pricey one but extremely survivable.

Okay so that's what I'm thinking of getting parts wise. I am also going to be purchasing Windows 7(64 bit).
I'll be mostly using this for CoH. Possibly multi-boxing as well as running multiple programs.
I would like to overclock this but I am a little nervous about how far I will be able to push that. Also my PSU kind of worries me on this, because I am not sure if it will be powerful enough as I don't have a ton of experience in this building. I did use some PSU calculators and it looks like it will work in practice, but if anyone who could answer this will, I'd appreciate it.
Also curious as to how this will do running ultramode, and if you notice any serious problems with this build. Also I believe it will be, but everything here will be compatible if I'm not mistaken, is this correct? Thanks for the time! -
Hey guys, thinking of getting a new computer and kind of unsure what to get. I mostly want it for CoH. What do you guys think of these?

3. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...8&Sku=B69-1403
Any specific advantages, one would have over the other? -
Thanks for the quick responses, that's what I figured, but began to become confused after reading a few threads.
-
Sorry if this has been addressed elsewhere, but are the ATIO's unique? If so, could one slot both a superior and non-superior version of the IO's?

Quote:Ahh okay, thanks for the knowledge Magikwand. Like I had said never had tried it before, but good to hear from someone who hasThat isn't exactly correct. Teleporting in is probably the most reliable and foolproof way of detaching him. However, I have done this countless times by simply running straight in to the plaza. (I always did it by flying straight in and dropping down on the last mountain before the plaza, then dropping down and flashing in to position). But again, I stress that it is all about speed here. A toon without superspeed won't have a chance of doing it if he isn't teleporting. As long as you make it in to the cutscene, you have a chance to break him from his healing nictus.
-
If I recall correctly to detach the nictus from Rommy's hip you actually have to beat him to his spawn point by teleporting in. I may be incorrect in this, as I have never tried this.
-
hey guys, just need some thoughts on the build. Anything I could change around to improve my numbers? Thanks!

Quote:I also have heard lots of good things about time, but just haven't gotten around to trying it yet, anyone that can speak up and compare it to another set in terms of survivabilty, increase in damage output, heals, recharge times on powers, solo vs team, etc.?I see you don't have any Corruptors in your sig. I'd suggest Fire as a primary and Dark, Rad, or Time as your secondary.
I haven't personally played any Time toons but I hear it's a good set.
Dark is awesome because you get the big heal as well as Fluffy's heal. You also get Tar Patch which goes well with Rain of Fire. Then you have Fearsome Stare and Howling Twilight as mitigation.
Rad is nice but I like it less than Dark. But with Rad you get two toggles, which I love because you can toggle herd more badguys. You also get less healing and a slow that requires a To Hit Check unlike Tar Patch.
I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. -
Quote:I actually have a Bots/Dark and Bots/Traps in the 40s.. Maybe I'll try a fire/ corruptor though. Any reason you recommend cold?Well going off this list:
Controllers- Ill/Emp | Ill/Storm | Fire/Kin | Dark/Dark |
Brutes- SS/Fire | Fire/WP |
Scrappers - Spines/Fire | Kat/Regen | Elec/Shield | DM/Shield |
Dominators- Plant/Psi |
Tankers- Inv/Fire | Ice/NRG |
Crab Spider | Warshade |
-----------
Have you tried Corruptors? (gasp.. defenders?)
Maybe try a Fire/Cold Corr - or attack set of your choice. (I suggest Fire or Rad)
Traps might be fun for you as well?
Could also try out a Blaster...
Maybe a MM such as Bots/Dark or some combo? -
Fellow heroes, I need some ideas on what to make next. The only requirement I really have for it is it needs to be able to do some decent AoE damage. Thanks guys, I just can't think of what to make.
-
-
Too many unknowns to really answer this. Just thought I'd tell you. Budget? What are you looking to do? Do you want to keep the same powers? What bonuses/playstyle?
-
If you're going to take your defense to 42% may as well take it to 45%.
-
So I'm thinking of making a Rad/ Blaster who will spend a lot of its time in AoE. I know Fire could be a serious damage monster, but MM has some heals and other options for survivability. Really what I'm wondering is what do you all recommend?
Also after being here 7 years, I still haven't found a blaster that's right for me and I know nothing about rad/ or /fire. I'm wondering which attacks I should consider skipping. I suppose a few tips for MM would be nice also, though I'm a little more familiar with that set. Thanks! -
VIRTUE!!!! Not really, but I'd like to see some more PvP there....
-
Slot for resistance first of all. Don't just take the power. Second hope this is purely an end game build because plasma shield is your hold/sleep resistance.
If you plan on running DN and BA all the time, then your end is going to hurt. Obliterations don't provide a whole lot of end reduction and FS alone is going to use almost 16 end every 7 sec. Slot a +end performance shifter in Stamina. Won't solve your problems but it can help some.
Gloom is underslotted.
Flurry is overslotted.
You'd get more S/L defense from Rectified Reticle in 2 slots than you do from 6 slotting Gaussian's. That said if you will be able to afford running DN at all times your defense is probably high enough long as you don't kill the anchor, but 1 purple could also solve this.
Personally on the build I used for my Mo run I didn't even build for E/N def. that's not to say I had none, just that I didn't specifically build for it... 90% of the ITF is S/L. -
Woah woah woah, you took boxing and kick for weave... start there. I'd overlook your build again...
