Question on payment and paragon rewards

I've got a little extra money laying around, and I like the way the game is going right now, so I'm considering paying for more than a month at a time, something I've never done before.

If I do so, how does that work with my paragon points and paragon rewards tokens. If I pay for a year, would I get 4800 paragon points and 4 paragon reward tokens immediately, or would I continue getting them monthly through the course of the year?

You get the points each month at the start of the billing cycle, and the rewards at the end of the billing cycle.

They wanted to do the rewards up front but the devs said technical issues related to how vet rewards were awarded prevented it from working that way. There is no estimate on when this will be fixed or if it's possible to fix.

They NEVER said paragon points would be awarded in bulk up front.

If you use a game card, when is your billing cycle?

I use a 60-day game card, and I get my points on the day that the new game card goes into effect (for when I enter the game card code prior to the previous code's expiration) and roughly 30 days later (depending on whether that date falls on a business day).

I added a card about 3 days ago to reactivate my vip, but I haven't gotten anything.

I'm guessing there may be a delay for processing when you first go back onto VIP (trying to remember if there was when I did, but it was a while ago now).

If you haven't seen your points in a week, I'd contact Support.

I've been subscribed continuously for a long time and always got my points and reward token at the end of the month, instead of the beginning when my billing cycle began.

I think support can change that, but by default I'd expect them to get you on the 28th or so when then get around to it. I'm not super happy with being a customer of NC Soft, but I think we have to recognize too that CoH doesn't bring in anywhere near the revenue that Lineage or Aion do. And yet NC Soft has been investing pretty heavily in Paragon Studios. So I think it kinda balances out in the long run.

My billing date is the 27th (six month sub so I only get billed on one of those six billing dates), I get my points on the 28th, and I get my token somewhere in the middle of the month. I haven't yet figured out whether I'm getting my token early or late; if I dropped sub I could figure it out, but I'm a sucker for shinies.

It finally stabilized a couple months ago when they went through and did their last attempted fix.

And I just tried to log in to check if my billing had cleared up and it doesn't recognize the username or email address that I've been using on my master account for something like 5 years.

*sigh*

I don't have time to deal with this now. Maybe latter I'll check it again and call support if it's not working still.

There's been like a dozen threads about this. It's apparently related to them separating the account management systems of the different games.

Note: VIP players earn 1 reward token per month now as opposed to 1 every 3 months in the past. I think they also earn 1 extra token for every 12 months of being subscribed, so I believe you will earn 13 tokens at the end of the year for the time you just payed for, not 4 tokens.

Edit: And yes. You only receive 400 points and 1 token per month instead of all up front as VIP. But you can purchase Paragon Points in addition to that. For every 1200 points you accumulate when buying them, you earn 1 reward token. The free 400 points VIP receive each month don't count towards this. (I think if you are VIP tier 9 in the rewards tree you receive 550 or so points per month)
