Cheapest way to get the Invention License?

Hi there. Returning player coming back after a while. Everything is so new and weird now!

My question is: What's the easiest way to get a hold of the Invention License? As far as Paragon Rewards go, I'm still like half a year off from getting it for free, but I can't find anywhere in the store where you can buy the license.

My level 50 was stacked with IO's, so naturally I'm interested in getting him back in shape. Any ideas?

Thanks!

the invention lisence should be in the paragon market for 160 pts

the search in the paragon market is not the best though

to find it without a search it is under account services->system unlocks

Awesome. Thank you, Necrotech_Master.

Is there a way to buy a lifetime version of it, or is it only the 30 day one?

only the 30 day one, getting tier 7 reward level IS the lifetime one lol

technically you could buy enough paragon points to fill up the reward token levels (you get 1 token for every 1200 cumulative points you buy, getting the $100 pack of points is like 8 or 9 reward tokens)

Currently I'm in Tier 6 with 1/7 little Reward Icons filled in. I also have 4 Reward Tokens remaining (ie: unspent). 1 + 4 = 5, so I'd need two more Reward Icons to finish Tier 6.

Do I just need to finish Tier 6, or also get something in Tier 7?

i think you have to own enough tokens in order to be able to fill up the tier, so you would need a total of 27 reward tokens owned in order to get the tier 7 bonus (if im reading the wiki correctly)

so if your 2 tokens away from starting tier 7 then you would need 7 tokens to completely fill the tier + the 2 to finish off tier 6. so you need 9 tokens to get the permanent invention lisence (9 tokens = 10,800 points if you bought that many right now then you would have the tier 7 bonus, i think the $100 point pack is ~12000 points so it would give you enough to get the tier 7 bonus)

you could always just get the 30 day license until you fill up the tiers over time, up to you

Sorry, looks like I mis-read. I'm 1/7 Reward Icons into Tier 7. So 1 + 4 = 5. So I'd need 2 Reward Tokens.

If you get a Reward Token for every 1200, then I could buy the 1200 Point Package x 2 for 30 bucks total. This would get me the Invention License + 2400 Points to spend on whatever I wanted.

Does this sound right?

whats your reward tokens earned amount? it should be listed top left of the trees as a green number

the target goal to get the permanent invention lisence would be 27 tokens earned

edit: you basically need to fill up the tier with tokens to get the bonus, so if you fill up all of tier 7 with your current ones then as you said could buy the $15 packs of points till you have enough tokens to finish off the tier

Yep, it says 25 Reward Tokens earned. Thank you very much for your help and advice!

Points are $5/400 points, so $100 gets 8000 points. The $100 bundle comes with 1600 bonus points, for a total of 9600 points. 9600 is evenly divisible by 1200, so it always gives exactly 8 tokens.

Not entirely accurate.

You just need to OWN the tokens, whether you've spend them on anything or not is irrelevant. You could have 27 tokens just sitting there doing nothing and still have IOs unlocked.

While that's true, before the T9 repeatables I really can't think of a valid reason why someone doesn't just apply the tokens, especially when they get enough to fill up a tier. You can't move to the next until the previous is filled. Even if there isn't nothing you especially want at the time on your current tier, it does you no good to save them until you have enough for something on a higher tier since you can't get that until you fill up the lower tiers first. All you're doing is preventing yourself from having something you've earned.

Since my second account is almost 1 full tier away from unlocking IO's I just bought 15 bucks worth of points for it and dish out 160 points when I want to use it. That should give me around 7-8 months worth of IO usage.

You also get a bonus token for the first time you buy points of any amount, so you'd only have to buy the one lot of 1200.

This, if the OP has yet to buy points.

Just wanted to say that this worked like a charm. Bought one $15 point package and got the 2 needed reward tokens.

Thanks!
