S/L Farmer Powersets

I want to make a Brute for going up against S/L heavy foes (mostly so I can grind something more than AE tickets now and again), but I'm a bit stuck on what powersets to go with.

I don't care about costs, I'm more than willing to work up to whatever is required for an optimal S/L farmer (though I generally don't like PvP IOs, personal quirk).


Where are we going, and why am I in this hand basket?

That build gives you: Better slotting, more recharge (With the spiritual alpha), better accuracy, etc.

To me it seems if soft capped /fa cant handle the debuff cascade then something like SS/inv/mu brute should have high S&L def resistence and good debuff resistance

Not sure how a +4/8 KoA conversation started.. but if you're farming, you're not farming them. Plus, comparing /Inv to /FA in terms of damage output.. well there is no comparison. The only question is Epic pool really. I would take /Mu if you want pure farming, /Soul if you plan on doing a good amount of PvE. The sheer hurt that SS/FA puts out is unparalled, and if you go SS/FA/Soul + Spiritual alpha, you get a constant ST chain too.

What sort of farmer do I-

SS/Fire. Always SS/Fire.

Alternatively, SS/Fire capped to S/L.

(Really though, you could do well with SS/Elec, TW/Fire, or even TW/Elec, though all would probably be worse).

But Farming KoA +4 x8 is what I want. To farm them in da missions for incarnate xp.
What toon would you use?

Well really the only sets that can stand up to *** loads of DDR is either SR or Shield. I'd go fire/shield or elec/shield but I'm not sure it can handle 54x8 with the crappy res same with SR. I actually think that a non brute farmer like a hovering arch or dp/mm blaster that's capped to s/l might farm this better.

My SS/Fire has no issues running them at 4/8.
