Purchaseable Enhancement Slots?
I think now would be the perfect time to invest in a fix.
I also firmly believe that properly priced it would be a worthwhile investment on their part. We can only hope that the ones in charge of pricing don't deuce all over the devs efforts this time. We can only hope. |
I missed that. At "that" time I must then assume it was something that was going to be a part of an issue and since freedom was not here there was never any discussion from them about us having to pay for the slots then right? Help me get up to speed.

For once I am glad they have a technical limitation which goes against everything I stand for normally. It is almost like everything is up for money in the eyes of many here and there is nothing good about that IMHO.
I am also glad that Z shared their scheduling methodology with us dispelling the rumor that just throwing more of our money at them will solve all the desires even my personal ones(staff fighting). |

The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.
Yes please. 3 slots would make my toons so much better. Mainly as most of them would than get extra recovery without having to sacrifice something in their current builds.
or if they were broots they would get damage procs. Give us slots even if we have to pay for them. Tho any more than 800 per slot is unacceptable. Even than thats kinda pushing it. But like the extra enhancement trays just seems very nice to have.
but hey, free is always good. Tho with the tech limitations, i feel like overcoming them they would have to charge.
wait... free?!
FREE?!?!?!?!?!
WANT NAO!!!!!!
edit: 3 slots would be the icing on the cake! Wants badly!

From conversations I had, it was going to be extra slots at 25/27/29.

As for why it bugged out: I'm not privy to any sort of inside info, but given that level 50 characters had their purple IOs vanish when they got the new slots, I'm thinking maybe power and enhancement slot gain is REALLY hard-coded into a character's level, and that the game interpreted those extra slots as a character being level 51 (or something similar), thereby taking away the IOs that are only available at level 50. And from there, I can see how a bunch of other stuff could be affected. But again, this is just me taking a wild guess based off of one piece of anecdotal evidence.

In any case, moot point; on last week's Ustream Positron said there were so many issues with it that it was off the table indefinitely.

That's the drawback to having deadlines. When the clock is ticking, you're severely tempted to cut corners in order to get it all done in time.
They should work out a way to make those 3 free slots work and offer reasonable prices for paid for slots to put on top of that
The technical limitation doesn't prevent them from selling it. The devs not wanting to sell it prevents them from selling it. If you're against the power creep of it, though, that's a different issue, and I'm afraid you've already lost that argument.
