While you may be correct with that comparison, right now it'd still be as though it is 1980 and a lot of people still haven't gone to see Empire Strikes Back yet.
Also, there's always going to be someone who doesn't know yet.

That have never been spoiler to me. I watch Return of Jedi first. Then I watch it again 6 more time in cinema. Then I waited for cinema to play first two parts, so I watch Empire Strikes Back next, twice. And maybe year or two I have managed to catch Star Wars in cinema. And then I've got VCR...

no, not really....the marketing for Empire Strikes Back didn't involve stapling a "Darth Vader is Luke's Father" sticker to anybody's forehead.

Name: Luke
Born: June 22, 1977

No, I'm not named after the movie. I'm named after the book of the Bible....but...growing up as a blonde, blue-eyed guy with the name "Luke"

yeah

Indeed, because what Vader actually says is, "No; I am your father" as he's responding to Luke's "He told me enough. He told me you killed him."

Eh that's probably what I heard. I'm just not a big enough fan of the movies to remember correctly. Loved the games, was never a big fan of the movies.

But interesting on topic question...

Will Statesman's death be considered a spoiler for people in the future? Say someone who joins in issue 23 or 24?

And here I thought Ep. III killed that scene...
