Elusive Mind

Since the Watchman badge is so difficult to get, why is the Elusive Mind accolade power a click instead of an auto?

I realize that Elusive Mind accolade is a fairly big boost, 25% Psionic Defense and 7.5% Psionic Resistance, but it is not easy to get either.

  • Defeat 25 unexploded bombs
  • Defeat 10 Rikti Heavy Assault Suits
  • Defeat 100 Rikti

All of them only accomplished during Rikti Invasions for the badges; Bomb Specialist, Chief and Sentry.

That much work for just a sixty second effect with a long duration recharge hardly seems worth the effort. Therefore, I would suggest that it be made a permanent auto power, instead of click with a very long duration recharge.

Hard to get?? 2-3 Rikti events and boom ya got it.

I think the reward it offers is in-line with the amount of time/effort it takes to obtain.

I've had it in one raid on many occasions, it just depends how experienced your team is.

I find the suits are the hard part, in that getting them to spawn can sometimes being a problem.

Then again...not had a Rikti attack in ages. So...XD

The accolade is far more useful as a click power for when psi damage does come up then it would ever be as a passive power. The badge itself isn't that hard to get.

Has more to do with how many people you have and how lucky you are spawning EBs than how experienced your group is.

You can still trigger the events upon completion of a LGTF.

The number of bombs dropped does not depend on the amount of people in the main landing party. Bomb routes are exactly that - routes they always take. In certain maps it is easier to get the 25 needed in one run if you know where to look and it helps if 2 people in a team can handle a bomb while the other 6 are off looking for more. It is easier now with leagues but I am talking long before leagues were introduced. For suits to spawn you need a strong defence and more people will spawn more Rikti but it is the strength of the defence against the main group which will cause more suits to spawn. I hope this enables you to understand more clearly now.

When LGTF is the WST, getting the badges is pretty easy, since the attacks will be happening a few times a day for a whole week.

I was doing some playthroughs of City of Heroes. Now they will serve as memories of a better time ...

The bombs and the 100 Rikti are easy. The EB's are a pain since you have to get a pretty big bunch of people together for them to spawn.

And forget the buff, I want the Rikti axe.

No, I already understood it perfectly clearly. The bombs are extremely easy to get, you don't even need a strategy, just run around and tab target til you find one and kill it. It has nothing to do with how experienced you are, all that matters is the number of people you have and that those people are all grouped up for the EBs.

Nope, you are wrong. I have been in good groups everyone fighting and some not so good groups where a lot of folk stand around looking at stuff. In good groups - OFTEN SMALLER THAN NOT SO GOOD GROUPS - the EB's are spawning like wildfire because the defence is effective. Larger groups have spawned fewer EB's because for some reason they won't attack the Rikti (deviating from the activity). At any rate, it appears our own experiences give us different scenario's but, it does not detract from the fact that Elusive Mind is pretty damn easy to get in 1 Rikti raid. Hope this enables you to understand more clearly now.

I have never seen a heavy assault suit during a Rikti Raid.

For me the badge has been impossible to get so far. Which is why I want it to be auto if I finally ever get it. It is an accolade that I really want!

Well, they won't change it JUST because YOU haven't seen a Suit. Guaranteed.

Of course not, they don't change ANYTHING that I suggest. (And damn little that anyone else suggests for that matter) But it doesn't stop me from making a suggestion now and then on the hopes that they might see reason!

It does seem like they've been more receptive of player requests recently. Zwillinger seemingly being the driving force behind it. It's nice.

Of course none of the stuff I suggest or bring up gets listened to either, but that's besides the point. Just that they're listening to anyone is good enough for me.

I actually like Z, I have chatted with him briefly in the not too distant past and I have been at several events he participated in on Champion Server and the video chat thingy, all in all a very likable guy, and he does seem receptive to fan input.
