simple fact I put anyone in D on ignore who uses local chat to talk about personal drama only important to them. I dont need to hear about who is dating who, or who just got married. I want to hear folks talking about topics I might feel the urge to join in to, and ideally topics that actually have meaning to the game world like current events or an investigation into some factions activities that weaves lore skillfully into a story worth hearing.
In other words if it only matters to you, good for you, if you make yourself a part of the world, then you do matter to those in the world.
True story. Last night Ol **** was sitting in the D when a young lad in a red cap came up to me and introduced himself as a new midnighter archivist. He used lore to connect his character to the old midnighters and instantly became recognized by berkeley as a child he had seen grow up and offered condolences for the passing of his family, for the boy was an orphan with his parents and grandfather passed.
We chatted for abit, I even invited him into my casual lore based SG the Midnighter's Club which he was happy about. Soon a friend of mine who RPs a proper demoness came by and we all where talking about the various kinds and concepts of magic IC, it was a fun chat and several other magic types joined the discussion clearly enjoying it. Only problem was this god moding tech based character who didnt like being called toaster or told she couldnt control all machines, dominate citadel, nor use PPD as personal hitmen by sending them false warrents for those she disliked.

I also know there is another demtrios vasilikos on virtue using the upper case i trick for the L in the last name. Never met the guy but I put him on my friends list in case I do ever see him on. I once did that with Dauntless until I met the real Dauntless and couldnt stomach that trick anymore. See I do recognize first come first serve. Id made the mistake of assuming dauntless was blocked out and the upper case i was the only option. But nope there is a real Dauntless on virtue, claims to predate the history badge and lore to. Maybe he does. |

To be so arrogant as to assume that all others who do not agree with you are somehow "inferior" tells me that I have zero interest in EVER interacting with that person on a roleplaying level.
Please, stay away from Union, where we like to see people play original characters. We don't care how memorable they are, because we're not in some sort of competition to be "better".

Union is the EU RP server. Always has been. I've gone there a few times. Great place. Before you open your mouth, you really ought to KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT.
It really disgusts me that you and I play on the same server. I think I may need to shower.

I'm afraid you've failed on a number of levels.
One, actually the TOS merely allow PS to use my characters without express permission, even if my characters are used in other copyrighted works.
Two, of COURSE this is all my own opinion, based on upwards of twenty-five years of roleplaying. That, by the way, is called "experience". I've seen pretty much every kind of RP there is to see, and you know what? Playing someone else's creations bore the majority of roleplayers. Anecdotal, sure. But no more than you claiming that almost everyone you've roleplayed with is fine with you dictating their characters to them.
