Interesting movie, but a lot of the context says the movie is politically loaded, so instead of enjoying the fantasy of shooting annoying people I'll just be angered because half the people they shoot are crude straw-mans that people call me, and would rather take a bullet to the head than admit they are wrong. It gets pretty annoying when every single hit movie and TV show is, yet again, a dig against the religious or the conservative.

So religious or conservative people take up 2 parking spots and let their children go on stupid reality TV shows and act like spoilt brats? Cos thats who I saw the trailer taking a dig at.

Still, ill give this a watch, just not in theaters.
This is about where I am with it. Somewhat interesting idea, could have some funny moments, but overall it's going to need some sort of deeper edge about society and our love of violence (or something, anything) to redeem itself. Otherwise it's just more violence for violence's sake.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to play my Martial Arts scrapper!

Not sure if trolling, but in case you really didn't see it, the television montage where the protagonist is contemplating suicide has religious protesters and cuts immediately a picture of Obama modified to look like a Nazi. Later on in the film it shows the protagonists doing a drive by of said protestors.

What's interesting is how many "I'll see its" might themselves be on the main characters lists, if they were characters in the movie. I know a few short-tempered jerks are going to see this movie, who fully expect to identify with the main characters. People for whom it doesn't take middle age, an inoperable tumor, and sobering retrospect to get them fed up at the world (it takes much less). Think about the little princess who is the dude's first victim. Someone like that in real life (they exist) would probably expect to love this movie--until that first scene came along that made her shift uncomfortably in her seat, for some reason that she wouldn't quite be able to put her finger on.

It's all about perspective!

Those Religious Protestors are in fact The Westboro Baptist trollers that sit outside Solider/Homosexual funerals for the sole purpose of lawsuits they can profit from. They, as you might be surprised to learn are hated by EVERYONE but fellow Westboro baptist church members.

If they are indeed shown being killed in this movie then I will enjoy it even more.

If you want to talk about this I'm more than willing to take it up in PM, but please stop in this thread...

The movie is attacking media as a whole and mocking what America has become. Social Media has only amplified things and made them more public. To paraphrase comedian Gabriel Iglesias,"America, you don't vote for Presidents. You vote for things like, American Idol."

Trying to look any farther than that, you're just looking for an argument.

Sounds sort of like Falling Down. but played for laughs I guess. Alas if only the real world's problems where so easily solved.
