I'm sorry, Warbaby, but I'm going to have to send you back to the beginning of the thread. If you play well, you may be able to catch up again.

The point is to build from the latest post/word. It's a game of linguistic gymnastics. And some of us like to post links that help better explain our responses. And sometimes people play a bit lose with the... I hate to call them 'rules', but this would just turn into a 'post something random' thread, if there weren't some sort of unifying guidelines.

Your best answer would be to have posted a Homonym or Synonym of 'Bagpipe', but I admit, sometimes the thread hunts down into a cul de sac and heroic creativity is needed to get it back into something playable. And it helps, if the people playing the game Try to give the next player somewhere to go...

So, I'll take your dog link and:

Pastoral dogs are generally used to Herd.

A protostar is a cloud of gas. In fact, every star is, technically, a very hot, very highly compressed, ball of gas.

Wine can have petrol notes...
With time, Riesling wines tend to acquire a petrol note (goût de pétrole in French)
The petrol note is considered to be caused by the compound 1,1,6-trimethyl-1,2-dihydronaphthalene (TDN),
