Help with Magnets and a X-23 Statue
Nobody knows.
Miracles, man.

Well, could you take the magnet out of the shoulder and switch that around? Maybe use a dremel to score a groove enough to lever it out. I would think you'd have more space to work with if you remove the shoulder magnet than the arm magnet.
Edit - Changing a bar and an electromagnet's polarity.

They also have teeny, tiny medicine droppers you might try to apply the release agent without damaging the paint.
I used to deal with that stuff a lot. You are very likely up a well known creek without a paddle. The stuff to break it up is pretty darn strong and can do more than damage paint; it can melt plastics with long exposure. IIR almost none of it was very fond of heat, so you MIGHT be abe to soak it in scaling water (constantly replenishing the water with more scalding water) and the heat loosen the stuff up but that's a long shot.
I agree that your best bet is to remove the OTHER magnet and turn it around too. It's possible that a sharp impact may break the glue holding it in place, just don't go nuts.

Thanks for the tips guys. I think I'll try to remove the magnet in the upper shoulder. Might consider the scalding water tip. It's something to ponder.

Scalding hot water won't help.
What you want to do is get a small amount of mineral spirits (i.e. gasoline, lighter fluid, lacquer thinner) and let it sit in it for an amount of time trying not to let it touch the rest of the piece the is a scalpel or razor, the sharper and stronger the better... and try to cut away at the in-between the glue and the piece of magnet. I recommend around the magnet as it is metal and likely not as securely bonded.
Once you get the magnet out sand the goop off carefully.
That's your best option probably.
He has heard that a long soak in 99% rubbing alcohol will work if you're worried about damaging paint and plastics with the usual removers but hasn't tried it himself and cannot say if it will really work.
His final word on the matter was basically, "good luck, you'll need it with this stuff."
Wondering if anyone here can help me with an issue or provide any suggestions on how to fix this. I managed to find a X-23 Comiquette Statue as a gift for my brother. So I received the statue, it looked ok, and was in very great conditions. I started to assemble it together, and then all of a sudden the left arm falls off. Looked at it and it looked like the glue/adhesive that was applied to the magnet in the left arm became detached.
No problem I thought to myself. Went out to buy some Amazing Goop glue and the magnet is in there brand as new. However in gluing the magnet back in. I completely forget that magnets have 2 polar ends and opposites attract. So in the end I now have a left arm that will not attach due to the fact that the magnet in the left arm has the same polarity as the magnet in the upper left shoulder.
Went to the Amazing Goop website and what they list to remove or undo Amazing Goop glue looks like it can damage the paint job on the arm and I want to avoid that. Already contacted Sideshow and the person I bought the statue from and they don't have any spare parts. So I'm wondering if anyone here knows if it's even possible to switch polarities on a magnet? or provide any kind of solution to fix this.
