Can't get to Praetoria, am I missing something?

Hello, I just purchase GR from the Paragon Market. I went to Pocket D and went to the portal next to the bathrooms and am unable to enter. I read on the forum somewhere that it was to correct portal. Am I missing something?

Thanks,

You should have access. Did you try logging off, then back on again? I'd also check to see if you can roll a Praetorian character. If you also cannot do that, and you've tried relogging, I'd recommend putting in a support ticket. Good luck!

Q. Just wondering Posi, where are the new dance emotes we were told would come with GR?
A. Positron: Whoops, my bad.

If you bought the item called Going Rogue from the in-game store, that is not the praetorian content from the of expansion. It is the alignment system.

You should see an icon on your map that says Studio 55.

I'm pretty sure there's only 1 portal near bathroom doors in Pocket D but you never know!

If you click on the map icon, it will set a waypoint for you to go to.

And as the poster above me mentioned, try logging out and logging in. That can fix problems also

I do not have the ability to create a Praetoria char. I thought that's where I had go for the GR content. So if ging to Praetoria is not where I go then, where do I go if I want to change alignment? I am a villain currently.

Thanks,

Characters level 20+ receive "tip missions" from defeating NPCs level 20+

If you look on your missions tab, you should see one that says Tips.

You have to run 10 Tip missions + 1 Morality mission to change your alignment.

You can only run 5 tip missions per day however.

On day 2 you can run the Morality mission even after you have run the 5 tips.

More information can be found on Paragon Wiki: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Alignment

Actually you should be able to at least take a character to tour through Praetoria without having access to Going Rogue. There's no content to do there for non-praetorians except the live events as it is.

As for changing alignment, you do tips. When you're level 20+ enemies will have chances to drop Tips, which are special 1 time missions you get under your contacts tab. They let you choose between 2 different objectives based on the alignment you're working toward.

To change alignment, do 10 tips of the Alignment you want to move toward, then do a Morality mission. It goes in a cycle. Villain -> Rogue -> Hero -> Vigilante -> Villain.

So if you want to move from Villain to Hero, you will do 10 Rogue Tips, then a Rogue Morality mission. This will change you from Villain to Rogue. Then you can 'tour' in Paragon City to accrue tips that let you choose between Rogue/Hero. If you do 10 hero tips, then a Hero Morality mission you'll change to a Hero.

I found it. It was actually under the Contacts tab. Never thought to look there.
Thanks for the info.

Some more details about changing alignment:

Since you get tips from enemies level 20 or higher, I like to head to Sharkhead Isles. Kill anything that moves. Note that it can take a surprisingly long time for tips to drop, some days -- it's random, but bosses will drop tips much more often than minions, so kill any boss you see.

After you complete your five tip missions, there is a 20 hour cooldown before you can run any more (at least, before you can get any more tips yourself or before you can get credit for running anyone else's). There are five buttons that fill in when you complete tip missions (on the tip mission tab under contacts), and they will say something like "You have been remembered for this deed for five hours" when you mouse over one. When it's been 20 hours it will say "you are no longer remembered for this deed". That's when you know you can find new tips to run.

A morality mission should drop once you've completed 10 rogue missions (there are separate progress bars that will show you how many of these you've completed, even if it's been 3 weeks or whatever since you last played the character). You get these the same way as tip missions, by killing level 20+ enemies, bosses preferred. At the end of a morality mission you can change your alignment, and I don't really need to explain that part since there are a lot of warnings and "are you really sure?" type messages.

The tip missions that you get Villain-side are only: Villain, or Rogue. If you are a Vigilante hunting Villain-side, then you will only get tips with Villain as an option. The tip missions you get Hero-side are only: Hero, or Vigilante. If you are a rogue hunting hero-side then you will only get tips with Hero as an option.

So if you want to go from Villain to Hero, you have to run 10 tips v-side where you pick the Rogue option, then your morality mission, and then you have to move hero-side and run 10 more hero tips and the hero morality mission. 4 days minimum.

Rogues can go hero-side via Pocket D, Rikti War Zone, or via the super sekrit smuggler submarine in Sharkhead Isle, that leads to a matching submarine in Independence Port. Also through Midnighters.

When you move from one side to the other, you will lose all your current missions for the side you're leaving. You'll get a warning about this EVERY time you leave a co-op zone, even if you've been playing hero-side for 9 months and are only exiting to hero-side again. It's a bit annoying. Also, rogues/vigilantes can't have or use villain or hero merits, so you will lose those when changing alignment if you haven't used them. But your regular merits aren't affected.

If you're a Rogue playing hero-side, or a Vigilante playing villain-side, don't use an ouro portal. It will takes rogues to the villain ouroboros and vigilantes to the hero ouroboros.

I believe "Lower Praetoria" is still restricted to those who have access o it's content. Even for simple tours.

Also - if you have progress on multiple alignment bars - i.e. Hero and Vigilante - running and compleating a morality mission will clear both.

Also, tips are in ranges of 10 levels - 20-29, 30-39, 40-50 - and are all cleared when you pass to the next bracket.

As noted the fame limit on doing tips only affects Alignment tips. Morality tips, as well as other special tips like holiday event tips, ignore fame and drop as long as their requirements are met.

Not exactly. I did some testing on two different days for two different things relating to Praetoria.

In my test for the other thread I took my hero to Talos Island and went through the portal to Underground Imperial next to Mistress Eva. I then went through the door to First Ward and looked at the sky. I then went back to Underground Imperial and then headed up to the exit to Imperial City. Once I got into Imperial City I went to Studio 55 and from there went through the portal to go to Pocket D.

At that point, I stopped my testing.

After reading Soul_Bender's post above, I decided to try going from Pocket D to Studio 55. On clicking the portal I get the following message:

Quote:

A dimensional field surrounds this door. You cannot enter.
So, it appears that for a Premium account that has not purchased GR prior to Freedom (or found and purchased a GR box set since Freedom was released and applied the code on the Account page) or purchased Create a Praetorian from the Paragon Market cannot access Studio 55 through the portal in Pocket D. Since the purchase of the Going Rogue Alignment System in the Paragon Market has nothing to do with Praetoria, it's seems obvious that this wouldn't drop the dimensional barrier around the portal in Pocket D.

However, a Premium can go through the Underground Imperial access points in Talos or Cap au Diable, move through the Underground to the exit to Imperial City, go into Studio 55 and then through the portal there back to Pocket D.

Weird.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Black Pebble is my new hero.

That is odd. probably something they forgot to fix since anyone can go to First Ward already.
