Do you like making lots of characters or playing just one/a few?

70+ characters on 4 different servers; 14 of which are 50s. Most of the rest are in the 10-20 range, with some in the 30-45 range. I usually pick 3-4 characters to play/level up, and alternate between them, to build up rest XP.

Well...

380 toons at last count, 39 lvl 50's across all servers and 3 accounts. (3rd account was made with the 0.99 sale and is back to free again)

So..yes...I guess I am an altoholic. My brother-in-law reckons I need a support group. >.>

My Characters

Combined, my Blaster and Brute have more than 2000 hours (my next highest clocked value for a video game was Pokemon Diamond with 424 hours), and are the only toons I've been working on giving Royal Flushes for (T4 in all 5 incarnate powers - my blaster has two Alphas and Destinies, both T4).

However, A Blaster and a Brute do not work for all situations, so I've been working more on my newer characters (including my new Brute: TW/Elec).

Hm. I have characters I began almost 8 years ago, still in the 30's. My main server has four pages of characters, my second two. There was a time when I could not bring myself to playing a session with just one character...but having leveled up a character of every powerset save 3, and with the development of Io's and incarnates I have concentrated now on a handful.

I play the alts to suit the needs of my friends' teams, but more often than not I now go to one badging/IO'd/incarnated main, and then a handful of other characters.

I make characters very sparingly. I'd rather make one, accolade and IO it then Incarnate it and then move to the next.

In response to the thread title: Yes!

Meaning, I do make a lot of characters, but I only focus on one or two at the time. So I'll make a character, play it a lot, then either hit 50 or abandon it, then make another character and do the same. I really only have one I keep returning to repeatedly.

Hello, My name used to be British Battler on the NA o Battler on the EU, till I found out somehow in this Freedom change somehow my globals got reset!!!!

Anyway, I am/was a TOTAL altaholic. approx 250 alts accross 2 Accounts with 25 at 50, and about 10 of them fully decked out in IO's ( Not of the purple variety though, just a few of them). I enjoyed trying out alts of many differant types. Built up 4 or 5 Supergroup bases with one or 2 friends to be pretty good for solo bases.

The replayability used to be the main point of the game to me, so many combos, so little time. The Incarnate stuff kind of killed this game for me, a lot, the grinding grind of grindness of the same grinding iTrials put me off totally, led me to leave for a heck of a long time, to go out, seek new mmos and new horizons. I have seen a lot more now and enjoyed every one of them, but still I like CoH, just not the flipping grindy grindness of the iTrials. Havent gone past the Alpha slot on alts now, the boredom of that content just doesnt appeal to me, its not even progression raiding and learning, its the same flipping thing you fail till you fail enough times to get enough fail points to pass....grr, nice and heroic that one. I might choose ONE alt and go for it, but dont like what I am reading about all the sudden death, oh just ignore that defence, you're dead, mechanics they employ!!

Anyway, I digress, total unadulterated altaholic of the first order
