3 Monthly Badges?

Have the Veteran badges that were awarded every 3 months been put a stop to?
Not been awarded a single badge since the start of Freedom, just wondered if they were a thing of the past, and now we are only getting badges on every year?


Too many 50's to list here's a few you may know.
Slazenger, Area51, Area53, Area54, Erruption, Mind Plague, Thresher, Sheath, Broadside, Debt

It' the Paragon Reward system now. You get a token for any month you've subbed or for every $15 of points you purchase. When you claim the token you get the Vet rewards and badges that way now.

That's the link that should explain the system and I think it has a simulator if you want to try it.

So I won't actually receive a badge now unless I spend the Merit?

Damn they need to give me something worthwhile to spend them on then.

Not merit. Token. Used to get the nearly the same veteran rewards as you were getting under the former system.

No more of those Slaz. Just the yearly ones now. What used to be the badge for 3 months was taken over by the tokens. If you have T9 VIP you have all the badges you could have had for the old 3 months badge system.

I'm a bit confused by the variety of replies. To clarify, in January I will get my 7 years playing badge regardless if I spend my banked rewards tokens? (I've already completely unlocked the Celestial set.)

Indeed you will. The new annual ones are tied to how old your account is in paid time. The other ones (which used to be the ones you got every 3 months) are now tied to the buying of tokens.

Good luck on getting your 7 year badge. One of my accounts has 13 months paid time and still no year 1 badge. So no more money for NCSoft.

I'd have to take your word for it, as I haven't paid close attention. All I know is that every time I make a new character I get bombarded with a stream of 'badge received' messages that goes on so long that I begin to wonder if it has glitched.

I believe you get the badge just for having the token. You don't get any more badges after you've got enough to complete tier 8 of the rewards, which might be your problem.
At that point the only veteran badges left for you are the ones you get for each full year subscribed.


Main Hero: Mazey - level 50 + 1 fire/fire/fire blaster.
Main Villain: Chained Bot - level 50 + 1 Robot/FF Mastermind.

You do not have to spend tokens in order to be awarded badges. And badges are now awarded monthly, not tri-monthly. I should know, I still have seven unspent tokens, and I'm only a two-year veteran. Every month, I receive my monthly badge, whether or not I've spent a token.

Also, I am actually ahead of where I should be, because I have uploaded extra $15 payments to the Market, twice, almost three times now. My experience shows that it is apparently cumulative, and keeps track of your spending. So I guess, spending more money makes you a time-traveler, as far as the monthly badges are concerned (excluding yearly badges, which are absolutely tied to time spent subscribed).

There are a lot of complaints on the boards from people who never get their points, badges and tokens on time. I do get all of my rewards on time, every time, ever since I stumbled into this game. And I can't be the only one. So, trust me when I say the entire program isn't broken, and I encourage anyone with problems to contact a GM. Be patient in working with them. Allotment errors can be fixed (as I've seen happen with friends), but problems sometimes need to be escalated up the customer service chain and discussed with multiple GMs. Keep your cool, and work WITH them, not AGAINST them. Customer Service probably doesn't know you from Adam, and unscrupulous players DO try to take advantage of the complaint resolution process.
