Did Titan weapon leak?

I don't see how checking the store at 12:01am Tuesday morning to see what the new item for the week is, and then buying it when you see that it's a highly-anticipated item that no one knew the release date for, can be even put in the same category as an exploit. Yeah, the devs could've deleted or locked their characters, I guess, but there was no real need to, especially since it was only 12 people.

You're adding another currency to the game??!!! OK, so what trial do I have to do in order to earn kudos?

Knowing it was not intended for purchase at that time and playing the characters anyway is technically exploiting a bug in the store. However, its not an exploit that the devs felt required a preventative or punitive response against the Dashing Dodecaweaponeers. Not all exploits rise to that level of necessary response.

Man...I even put a in there to try to avoid this...

That doesn't apply in this case, because in that case you're talking about attempting to reverse a transaction that was already completed. In this case NCSoft does not have to reverse that transaction: they could just disable Titan Weapons at any time for any reason or no reason. They could delete any characters made with that set for any reason or no reason.

It could be a dev.

Because once he switched to his dev account and pulled TW from the store he dropped back in the channel and chatted with us for a minute. He told us he'd been on his private account, noticed our conversation, freaked out a bit, and fixed it as soon as he could. He also mentioned that the people who bought the set could keep it (we'd been wondering that after it vanished from the store and we realized it wasn't supposed to be out yet) but warned them that it was buggy in its current form so use it at your own risk. Until it vanished we weren't even sure if TW being in the store was a bug or not since we were playing right after the Tuesday patch and the notes weren't up yet, though we suspected it was since there had been no previous announcement.

LoL You do know we made a SuperGroup with something close to that? Only 6 of us would join it under a server tho, the other 6(assuming) were afraid you Devs would nerf us or take it away. I loved the borked animations and clipping, and the mis-draw effects. Hitting enemies with an invisible sword was pretty epic. Tbh I only knew of 8 others, didn't know there were 12 of us.




: ) and it's borked to atm. Sweet animations when they actually work, but yes even fewer (I'm guessing or pretty sure of..) grabbed that since it was open for less than a couple of minutes.

Whilst I'm pretty sure there's clauses in their Terms of Service (or name of their choice) to allow them these powers, it would be a very poor business decision to use these powers on 12 people that just happened to buy the item before it was taken off the shelves again.

It'd be a community relations nightmare to handle once news got out, and they'd have to spend more time and effort to put it right with the community to avoid losing faith.

Much easier to just let those 12 keep it, and possibly offer an 'upgrade' to the fixed version at a later time.

It updated for me at least once before it was offically put on sale.

Yeah and I still hate you for managing to be quick enough to grab it early *shakes fist* even if it was all bugged to hell and back when you got it.

Oh yes, it had some sweet bugs, like jumping forward with the weapon drawn made my little girl grunt like a big beefy man.
