Did a lot of the old content get shelved, and is only available thru Ouro?

for instance, this convoluted list of charactters. i think there are actually 6 arcs buried/shared amongst these contacts. Are they still available?

Since some of those are Galaxy City contacts, yes, they are only accessible via Flashback.

But some are definitely King's Row. I ask because they are not listed in the current level 5-9 content on Paragon Wiki.

Paragon Wiki IS at CoH Titan. You're thinking about the Wikia site, which isn't supported by the forums community. But both paragonwiki and wiki.cohtitan resolve to the same servers hosted by TonyV and the Titan Network.

Except for Kheldians, plus Wincott and Flux, there were no story arcs in the 5-9 range. The only mission in that range that would be available via flashback (aside from Wincott and Flux) is the Negotiator badge mission, which was assigned by Kord, Dempsey, and Feldon.

Some of those old contacts are now hidden in the corners of the origin rooms downstairs in Atlas city hall.

Not sure why you list the same contacts twice however Tony Cord is definitely still accessible - I picked up the Negotiator mish from him very recently

Those that were located in Galaxy and weren't used for deliveries are probably no longer available. Bear in mind also that missions in this level range are given from multiple contacts.
Any that are still required will have moved to a different zone.

Why the two different names/links?

Check out this link.

As you can see, there were no *arcs* in the 1-10 range.

There were only 3 arcs in the 10-15 range. And 3 in the 15-20 range.

And for each arc or bunch of one-off missions from various "Origin Contacts" there were 1-6 possible contacts who could give you those missions. The idea was that you didn't want a contact to be swarmed by 20 players, and so several contacts offered the same missions to spread out the players.

Ouroboros has all the *arcs*, not the one-off missions unless they had a badge associated with it.

By doing a Safeguard Mission at level 5-9, you can pick up the old legacy Origin Contacts on a new toon.

Wow, you mean it changes after 20, lol? I tried starting blueside content at least 3 times and got so discouraged trying to sort thru if I had hit every contact. Redside is so much better written it is insane.

Hrm, werent there more than one contact giving the same mission in the 10-15 as well? I am almost 100% that is true. It is just very confusing Blueside. You get this arc from Toni, no Marsha, wait Fred. Wait, who sent you? Okay well Fred will give you Marge, Marsha will give you George, and Toni will give you Juan, but dont worry they are all the same.

IIRC, Paragon Wiki used to be a stand-alone service that started after the wiki's divorce from Wikia. Later, it became part of the Titan Network. I suspect they keep both DNS names around just for the sake of utility, but the only person who could say for sure is TonyV.

ParagonWiki was first a standalone service. Then ParagonWiki joined Wikia because the load was too stressful for TonyV's tiny host. Then Wikia went crazy and ParagonWiki joined the Titan Network.

We keep both URLs around because people use both. (Also: for workers, it's often the case that one is blocked but the other is not.)

IIRC the history was as follows.

Tony V started ParagonWiki at the ParagonWiki address.

Later on it became a bit of a bother to maintain all by his lonesome so he got Wikia to host it and transferred the URL to Wikia.

Wikia, needs to make money somehow so their wikis have ads. Ads started poping up about RMT so Tony V grabbed a copy of the current ParagonWiki at Wikia at the time and got it hosted at CoHTitan but Wikia kept the ParagonWiki URL. It was during this time that people got into the habit of using the CoHTitan URL to get to ParagonWiki since the ParagonWiki URL got you Wikia's version.

Tony V later recovered the ParagonWiki URL from Wikia and now it simply points to the same spot as the CoHTitan URL does.

I think that's right.
