Black Friday VIP Starter Kit -- token?

Is the VIP Starter Kit supposed to come with a Paragon Rewards token? I just activated mine on a 1-day old free account. The account did get a server transfer token and 400 Paragon Market points, but as of yet no Paragon Rewards token.

If it makes any difference, I had spent, while free to play, $5 extra dollars for 400 market points (to buy the Martial Arts pack with Ninja Run). That purchase did earn a rewards token, allowing the account to use chat and join supergroups.

Rereading the email NCSoft sent about the Black Friday sale, it does not specifically mention a token. I just assumed that the 1-month VIP status would earn one.

My plan is to remain VIP long enough to achieve Tier 4 of the Paragon Rewards tree, both thru monthly fee and buying stuff I miss, like Mystic Fortune and the Jump Pack. Except for the on-sale Martial Arts pack, I could not find any of the other "Booster Packs" in the market. Can you still get the sets of things, or must you buy a la carte?

The 'Super Boosters' basically nolonger exist apart from as a 'sale item'.

Now you have to buy the costume and the power (ninja run, being able to switch body type at Cosmetic surgeons etc.) seperately. The costumes are listed under the Costume>Costume Bundles tab.

This means that to actually purchase what was once in a Super Booster ends up costing you usually twice as much as you would have paid previously.

It's why a lot of people, once hearing about freedom, basically went out and bought all the super boosters they were missing since it was a lot cheaper to do it that way.

Currently VIP awards the monthly token at the end of the month.

As part of the Black Friday sale the Martial Arts Super Booster Pack was put in the Market for a short time at a low price of 400 Points, making it a $5 purchase, much cheaper than when the Super Boosters were sold in the NCSoft store.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

This is a relief. I was wondering why a new account that had all the other VIP perks was sitting at reward level 1 and no token to spend.

The intent is to have any tokens awarded up front, but currently that is an issue they are dealing with.

This early morning I spent $15 to buy 1320 more points. 1200 points showed up right away (400*3), but the bonus 120 points did not show up until i logged out, waited a few minutes, and logged back in.

That's when my token showed up as well. Note no plural! I had thought for each $5 spent, one received a token. But for $15 I only received one token. Is this correct? Does one need to purchase points in $5 quantities to get a token for each $5?

That's a token for every $15 spent. Source: http://na.cityofheroes.com/en/commun...ds_details.php

However, you should have have gotten an extra token for your first purchase of points, so you should have a grand total of 3, after all the electrons get sorted out.

Which may take a few days.

Thanks for the info and link, BYiro. It's likely that the extra-first-purchase token was what I saw immediately after my first $5 purchase. That's one of the things that made me think there would be a token every $5.

When I spent $15 more, I received a 2nd token (and likely have credit of $5 toward my next $15 token).
