buuuttt they try to avoid anything too particular because people can be offensive.
but then, they still make some things that are wicked pointed anyway so idk lol.but indigenous is a safe way to make some costume pieces that could be interpreted as native american and could also not be. i mean, the banished pantheon dont seem tooo particular anything [even though they do lol] but i would really like some of what they have.
Been wanting this for a long time, I have a few Native American toons, and always feel like there is something missing in their costumes.
How about a whole selection of Cultural Costume pieces.
Would really like a Russian Ushanka hat too.

I'm glad we got the Pilgrim hat, since that's a niche that is nice to have filled, but yeah. We need more tribal stuff. CoH is severely lacking in it.
Though knowing our costume creators, a Native Pack probably come out with a jacket for male's made of bear skin, a top hat adorned with wolf teeth, a bone corset, and all of it would be brown regardless of what color you chose.

i dont consider my logic flawed. [did you mean my logic? or their reasons for keeping those items from us?]
they simply prefer not to put in-game costume pieces or ideas that represent specific cultures or groups of people because some players can use them in ways that are offensive. hence: no female pets [nameable at least, though we get coralax, widows and now the lore pets] and no to an "angel/celestial" MM set because it ties too closely with major religions [although i do not at all see how demons does not since generally the two are linked]
i think that reason, while valid, still doesnt hold up because people still make pimps, are vulgar, offensive, and dont care about other groups of people or cultures. but that is a very small part of the player base, and most players ignore or report it. :shrug: that's what blocking and the profanity filter is for.
so... we should be granted those much wanted pieces. but to assuage their fears, i suggest they call the pieces that might fit as native american "indigenous" and be sure to give them a variety and not reflect anything to specific [which they do a great job of anyway.]
im sure that we will get something like this sooner or later especially since they sure do love giving us stripper outfits for crime fighting females anyway and the guys only get more jackets with the reasoning "it's expected by the player base and we give them 'what they want'".
[but i do think they are doing great i just want less stripper stuff and more of what's missing theme-wise]
i repeat: good work devs. and i believe we'll get the items we want sooner or later
