So will Titan Weapons finally overshadow Super Strength?

Ah ok, so every single powerset in the game that has Aim or Build Up is a combo system you hate. That's gotta be upsetting. Any attack that debuffs resistance that modifies further attacks bugs you too, or having concentrated strike crit and instantly recharge a build up type power, etc etc etc

Jesus, chill out dude you don't have to get so friggin literal. Besides side effects or debuffs are a far cry from mechanics built to intentionally stack and progress in a defined chain. Not sure why you'd even try to argue this with him as it's his personal preference...do you also try to debate people on their favorite color? Derp.

That's because there is no defined required chain for TW, unlike the other two.

I think you'll see a lot of TW/Fire Scrappers as Farmers. TW is the Super Strength that Scrappers always craved. I could be wrong though, I don't know how the redraw will be affected by clicky Fire.

Here's a video - that was before the patch (so plain BU), and as you can see the player doesn't really leverage momentum because in normal gameplay you don't need OMG MOMENTUM since it's up after each strike anyway.

But interesting nonetheless to see what TW is capable of even not playing like 'like a pro', just casual play there. I tried to make a video at +1/x8 with my bumped 50 TW/Regen but failed because I never played regen so I got hammered pretty fast lol.

(You can also see the sounds are pretty lackluster compared to say, Stone Melee and even Broadsword, but no matter how much we complain in beta nobody seems to care)

Grrr... so I have a concept char in mind: Meteor Hammer, that screams TW/FA (and I need spring attack for concept, too)- likely a scrapper for personal reasons, but all of you are making me second guess the /FA aspect. I was hoping to use the tools of /FA in any attack chain gaps as needed.

Should I reconsider? /WP would be my second pick.

The only reason to avoid a pairing that causes redraw is if you are a powergamer. If not, just enjoy the ride. To the average player the minor loss of ZOMGDEEPZ! is negligible.

I myself will be recreating my FA/Axe tanker that I've never been able to get past the 20's into a TW/FA brute. Much better fit thematically, can't wait.

2 Tanks on the docket:

SR/TW to replace a currently WP/Axe. TW fits the concept so much better and I'm really excited to see how SR works on a Tank

and Elec/TW because that's what I've been playing on beta and it is a nasty combo.

Also, I see no reason to not to pair TW with a clicky set. It is not possible to maintain Momentum. After 5 (15 if you used BM) seconds it goes away. Use your click powers while you don't have Momentum.

Well, it does sort of have a very limited combo system in that a couple of the attacks can only be used with momentum. It is pretty brainless though since it uses the Dual Blades style orange circles... just don't try to use the momentum-only attacks unless they're lit up and you're fine.

Cascade, level 50 Blaster (NRG/NRG since before it was cool)
Mechmeister, level 50 Bots / Traps MM
FAR too many non-50 alts to name

1) Not all the attacks are 2.5 cast time, one of them is 2.0 and hits very hard so that would be good for a momentum starter.

Which one?

I remember sending a PM to BABs way back when about Brute Elec Melee sounding lackluster in some of it's attacks, I think those got addressed...eventually

The weird thing is that me and 5-7 other kept repeating that in the feedback thread...

And some of them told me they complained a lot about StJ's sounds (I didn't beta test it) and nothing was done. I eventually got a level bumped 50 stj/wp some weeks ago and found the sounds so lackluster, my DM toons' Smite is what sounds like a PUNCH to me.

(imho)
the only sfx in StJ that needs tweaking is Crushing Uppercut
I LOATHE the sfx in Cutting Beam from Beam Rifle
and I simply can't stand Sonic Blast in any way...
