Glad Armor: Possible Crash?
I'm interested in buying one, I don't particularly care which. Not familiar with doing off market trades though.
Culex's resistance guide
Too soon for a crash. From the time the Signature Story Arcs were introduced, calculate how long it will take to accumulate enough A-Merits on a single toon to buy one. THEN, we may see a price crash.
My toon with the most A-Merits only has 10. (I'm a slacker.)
Paragon City Search And Rescue
The Mentor Project
I'm less-inclined to believe a crash just yet as well.
I'm far liklier to believe an upwards bump in supply due to more PvP farming,
assuming: Freeb victim toons can drop those IOs if killed in PvP, and many current
VIPs picked up a free account or two to supplement their Main when Freedom
went live...
Either way, sounds like an initial score for you (assuming prices don't keep trending
lower).

For every seller who leaves the market dirty stinkin' rich,
there's a buyer who leaves the market dirty stinkin' IOed. - Obitus.
I'll take one of the level 10's. Message me @Ultimus
OK, L10's are gone to Pitho and Ultimus! 50's are left.

I suspect a crash. To minimize your losses, sell me either of the 50s for 1.1B!!! :0

I'm not seeing a crash just yet. I'm thinking the number of players who'd like an IO like that in their builds is much, much higher than the number of the players who have the free time and willpower to plan their gaming in a long enough period of time to save enough Amerits for one, even combining SSAs + tips + merit conversion. Especially as you can still get better value per Amerit by trading for LotGs or Miracles or what have you, with less risk and less investment needed as well as the possibility for trades through the market rather than having to negociate directly with people.
They keep making every recipe easier to get, and granted that includes the Glad armor with PVP farmers using tons of F2P accounts, but at some point all that extra money has got to go somewhere, and purples or a Glad armor +3% def are still the most desirable and harder to get IOs through "conventional" playing.
Still got those two 2.2 billion Glad 50's for sale...

Seriously? You bought 4 of the +3% defense glad armors in the market in the past week? I've had bids out at 2 billion for months on both the recipe and the IO and they still hadn't filled yesterday.
But now that they are talking about converters, I think I'll cancel my bids and wait and see how the converters play out.

I have one of these level 10 Glad Armors sitting on my most recent 50 brute Megamisama, haven't decided what to do with it just yet. I'm up to 25 a-merits on Shinobu Eden and 20 a-merits on War Maid (who is 45 now -- likely to be my next level 50). Sunday I ran through SSA for the first time on another high-level brute, Mina Evangeline (level 41), and I'm already sitting at 6 a-merits on her. ^_^ (And I confirmed alignment on my level 24 time/arrow corr, so I'm planning to run her through SSA soon too.)
Sure seem easier to get these days to me. ^_^ Still a bit of work though, I've been earning a-merits on Shinobu Eden and War Maid since early-mid October I think. Not working at it quite as hard as I usually do.

I dunno if easier to get. Amerits are easier to get, yes. Small things are MUCH easier to get. What is not easy to get is a mass of 30+ amerits on a single char. That is still very difficult without lots of time and effort.

4 merits from SSA on first day: about 1 hour or so of work.
1 merit every 2 days from tips: about 1 hour of work a day, or less.
1 merit a day from converting regular merits: 20 million influence and roughly 1.5-2 hours of work on TFs or Ouro Arcs. (I can get 33 merits in an hour with one Ouro arc, or from various TFs --34 in less than an hour for a Manti for example. And run every WSF you can).
If you play 3 hours a night -- and I know a lot of people besides me do -- then it's doable. But this month I've been trying to do NANOWRIMO, which is why I say I haven't been working on it too hard... mostly I've been running my 5 tips a day on two different characters, and sometimes catching a TF.

Let's say you start on a fresh character and devote eight days to getting H-merits:
three from tips + 1 from converting the first tip
seven from running TFs and converting
(nine for mortal men doomed to die... ooops...)
Four for the first run through the SSA
Three for the second run through the SSA, a week later
That's 17 in 8 days, and you can get 14 in the next 8 days if I did the math right. Really depends on how you define it, and that's a lot of grinding no matter what.

There's another factor to consider beyond Alignment Merits and increased PvP farming: Empyrean Merits.
I've bought myself five of these PvPIOs with Empyreans in the last several weeks. If you're somewhat hard core about running iTrials and lucky enough to be on an active server, you can earn as many as 6 Empyreans per day on one character. That's 10 days to one of these. Not sure how many people are doing that, but it's definitely do-able.

I hadn't logged in for over a week and I bought... umm, four Glad Armors on the market.
Now I have to decide between burning another 800 million flopping them, or selling them off market for 2.2 billion .
I'll be logging in at least once a day so we can do this through ingame email. Going to sell the remainder Monday on the market.
I literally have one level 10 recipe, one level 50 recipe, one level 10 crafted and one level 50 crafted.
