Weekly Rikti Ship Raid!
I apologize for my absence this past week. The girlfriend decided to surprise me by coming into town unannounced, which was great! It just meant that I had short notice to find someone to step up. But I hear Stellarum and Warmech ran a smooth raid with 4 teams. Very glad to hear it! I am glad we are still able to have a league to run these. Numbers seem to be decreasing (understandably) but still, it is nice that we that remain are still having a good time.
I'll be back this week!

Well, we had over three teams show up last night, and as long as we have at least 3 teams, we can do it. Great job last night, all. And we STILL had a first-timer! That's awesome. I am glad to see regulars and new people each week, and look forward to the rest of these.

The first 6-team raid league in WEEKS! That felt so great. Thanks for showing up, Pinnacle. It was a very smooth run, and seeing that many players out there was spectacular. I am sure 2xp weekend is to blame, but I am not complaining. And due to 2xp weekend, I heard leveling noises constantly. I know we got a level 6 to level 23, and a level 40 to level 43.6. That's pretty impressive.
Thanks for attending, Pinnacle! We only have FIVE MORE of these, and I intend to make them count

Great run last night, Pinnacle! We had 5 teams, nearly full, and it was a very tight group (no mass wipe outs). I saw plenty of leveling going on as well, so I am glad that a bunch of lowbies got something out of it. Good showing! I look forward to the 4 more that we have left.
However, I will not be there this week (November 4th) since I will be out of town. One of the other members will cover though.

I am sorry I could not be there last night for the ship raid, but it sounds like there was a decent number of people there, and that it went off without a hitch. Very glad to hear it.
Here we are, ONE YEAR after we started hosting these ship raids on a weekly basis. I am somewhat in disbelief, it does not seem like that long ago. But it is, and what a ride it has been. I am sorry that this will be one of our last, but at the same time, I am glad that we at least get to celebrate an anniversary with you all.
I hope you'll join us for it so that we can make it a full league, and show up for some of the other events of the weekend as well!

I was hoping to have a full league to close out the Guard's anniversary weekend, but with 5 teams, it was close enough. A few of the phases were a bit helter-skelter, but all in all it seemed to go well enough! Thanks to all those who attended, and who made an appearance at the other events over the weekend.
And now, we only have TWO Sunday Ship Raids left! Make sure to get your fix in now before you can't any more!

Great penultimate raid last night. We switched things up a little bit by having a group split off and head the opposite direction around the ship to take down the pylons. The bombing phase went very smoothly (thank you all for not killing U'kon before all teams had set their bombs), as did the bowl phase. Kudos to those who were on taunting duty!
Pinnacle, it has been an honor running these for you. Thanks for trusting me and the rest of the Talsorian Guard to lead you smoothly through these weekly raids, since I know I sort of just showed up a year ago and said, "Hey, we're hosting raids!" I have had an absolute blast, and I hope you have too. I am truly sorry it has to come to an end.

Thanks to you Winter and the rest of the Talsors for hosting them, and yes they were fun.
Thanks to everyone that helped make me a welcomed part of the community, and for giving me over 3 years of some of the best gaming I've been able to take part in. May the next game bring many friendships and maybe reconnect to some old CoH friends.
Indeed, thanks to the Talsors for the grand job of hosting the MSRs. All the ones I was able to get in on were just spectacular, and I even set a bomb in one!
I did taunting in previous runs, but this last one, I just stayed in the bowl and had at it.
So. Much. Fun.
May the winds be fair to ya Winter, and Talsors.
August 31, 2012. A Day that will Live in Infamy. Or Information. Possibly Influence. Well, Inf, anyway. Thank you, Paragon Studios, for what you did, and the enjoyment and camaraderie you brought.

Winter... Vox,
It was an honor serving with you. When we started the Talsors, I somehow knew we'd make a lasting impression on the server.
With you in charge, and the wonderful community on Pinn, we did just that!
I must sincerely apologize to you and the Talsors as well, the news of our demise hit me much, much harder than I realized.
I went into an isolation phase, severely. While I wasn't depressed or unhappy really, I just found myself at a complete loss for how to approach it all coming to a close.
This forum, this community that had been my daily sanctuary for 8 years was going to die, there was nothing I could do about it, and when I should have been there by it's side, I found myself unable to visit the hospital. (in a manner of speaking.)
I tried logging in once or twice after the announcement, but within minutes the sights and sounds would be blurred by the rush of tears. I couldn't do it, I couldn't say goodbye and watch it all end, to see the streets turn empty.
I made peace with it. I decided to focus on the years and years of wonderful times, great friends and creative outlets. Still, I found myself unable to log in, unable to fly freely.
I made a list, of things I wanted to do, places I wanted to flyover one last time, spots I wanted to log out my mains, pictures to take etc etc.
I made the list then let it sit for a month. Unable to end it.
I reluctantly decided to 'get it done while you can' and turned on my computer a few weeks back, to do just that. At that very moment my PC popped and died...
I'll always have my memories, quite a few thanks to you and the crew!!
Once again, I regret that I couldn't stand back to back, blasting Rikti with you all one last time. I trust you understand and won't take it the wrong way when I say.
I love you guys.
Goodbye my friends, may the future bring smiles and the occasional chance to be 'Heroic'.

Keep Calm & Chive On!
It was SO good to be back this week, although the turn out was less than overwhelming (only about 4 teams).
That said, it was a very tight run. Each stage took a little longer due to our lesser numbers, but for the same reason we could afford to summon a pet-fest once we got to the bowl stage, so that was a little something new. All in all, it was a very successful raid, and I am glad that people still enjoy showing up for these. Lord knows I like running them!
Updated for next week.
