Hasten not being permanent means that neither is Light Form, so for the sake of the exercise, I'd work on that.

That's not true. I remember an old post from AlienOne saying his recharge was around 150% (this was pre-incarnates) which means that his hasten was not permanent, but his Eclipse still was. Light Form has the same duration and base recharge as Eclipse- I haven't looked at the build you are referring to so I can't speak for it, but I did want to comment that perma hasten is not required for perma LF.

I did only mean in his build.

Two builds in this thread could of easily perma'd Lightform yet somehow, for some reason, mysteriously shyed away from it..*twilight zone*.

He will honor his words; he will definitely carry out his actions. What he promises he will fulfill. He does not care about his bodily self, putting his life and death aside to come forward for another's troubled besiegement. He does not boast about his ability, or shamelessly extol his own virtues. - Sima Qian.

Maybe because they're Peacebringers, not Warshades?

Hoping that making the look an option is on the way "soonish" (as in the next issue or two), along with the shortened form change. Rather than the "soon" the devs use, which means it could happen sometime in the next two years.

Have you been staying in touch with Arbiter Hawk about this stuff? If so, be sure to tell him that we require toggle suppression too.

I think the de-wispification was un-necessary. Light Form is still described as energy, and is part of Kheldian lore.

If you want people to admire your costume, let them do it between fights, when you can drop the power safely.

I personally hated the old LF animation but I think it would be a good idea for it to work like Cloak of Darkness- Set it to minimal if you don't like the costume intrusion.

I LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUV the new lightform; it's appearance and it's power changes. I run it perma now and if they ever revert to the old lightform I'll have to quit playing my PB - I won't be a wispy batch of energy all the time. As a option, certainly, but keep the current look.

Is it me or just did no one get that the OP was just trolling for a build. I mean simply if you knew how to create a build you would just create one and post it up for inspection and get some input from other players.

Or you can go the 2 routes. One is just out right ask for a build which might or might not get you results.

Or you can do the whole I don't think this can be done trick and then have some one just do the work for you. Which is the route the OP went for.

It's fine if he was. I didn't give him anything worth using. <.<

Edit: I couldn't help it, I had to make something better. This is getting very close to the goal, while being a viable hover-blaster.

THB,

The build Aneko is referring to is the one I posted on page 2.

Question, then. How close to perma does Hasten need to be for a 90/300 power need to be perma? With the build I have posted, LF runs at 86.6 while Hasten is running, but I am not sure how much that changes for the interim period that Hasten is not up.

With Hasten, the total recharge in the build is 151. So how is my build any different than the Warshade build THB references:

Worst case, Spiritual Total Core (a T3) brings the recharge in Hasten to 119.6, but I was trying to leave the Incarnate slots to be open.

Eh, why not try and put something together? It is like a forum game for most of us.

11 months of all-nighters, messy feeding sessions, bath fighting and realizing just how good my son's lungs work, and I am still convinced he is the crowning accomplishment in my life. What in the blue HFIL is wrong with me?

Everyone has preferred ways of building a character. The way I prefer to build my human-only Peacebringers, did not include the use of the fighting pool as a carry for Kinetic Combat sets.

It still does not, as I don't consider the pool to be useful outside of being set IO carriers.

The claim was made that it was possible. I didnt' see how. Every build I've seen in this thread that was a true human-only build included the fighting pool.

The thread served its purpose long ago.

I can see how someone with no sense of time or history, or a plain inability to look at dates of the posts, or an inability to read posts as they are written, could come to that conclusion.

However, I did not in my original post say "don't use the fighting pool." I laid out very clearly in my original post what "human only" meant to me.

The fact that I won't use these builds does not invalidate them, however. I challenged the claim that it was possible to build an S/L defense capped, permanent light form, human only build, and several people pointed out a blind spot in my thinking.

Uh, what's wrong with the fighting pool? We have access to it for a reason, and it offers an extremely valuable set of powers.

Okay, since I apparently don't know how to comprehend what you or anyone else is saying, here's your non-Dwarf, non-Nova, non-Fighting Pool, perma-Light Form, perma-Inner Light, softcapped S/L, capped Res build.

If you still think that pool powers are unwanted or unnecessary in achieving your goals, you're in a very lonely club.

That's very interesting.

Also entirely unnecessary. I was not asking for a build without the fighting pool.

The entire point of the thread was that I felt it wasn't possible to cap S/L defense on a human-only build. The very first reply to the thread showed me that I was mistaken, by pointing out a blind spot in my thinking.

Whether or not it answers any question of yours, I was curious about leaving out Fighting, as an intellectual exercise. I looked over my build and didn't see how I could do it.

'I don't like the look of it at all,' said the King: 'however, it may kiss my hand if it likes.'
'I'd rather not,' the Cat remarked.
'Don't be impertinent,' said the King, 'and don't look at me like that!' He got behind Alice as he spoke.
'A cat may look at a king,' said Alice.

I've recently decided to pick up playing a Human Form PB and after fiddling with Mids I'm not sure HOW to fit Fighting in.

I simply don't have the powerslots available. And is taking the resist shields really such a bad thing? I mean, not everyone can afford 4 sets of Kinetic Combat IOs.
