SSA 3/1 red side bugged?

So I ran SSA 3 yesterday on a character and it worked just fine.

Running it today on my widow and when I have to capture Alexis Cole-Duncan after defeating Manticore, nothing happens. She just stands there cowering. There appears to be a green bubbling mist on the floor (Acid arrow?) and it isn't going away. I think I've let it sit for 10+ minutes now and it won't clear. I don't know if it is considered a psuedo pet and thus part of manticore or what... but I can't autocomplete the mission. I tried abandoning and resetting etc, clearing every enemy in the place and nothing seems to help.

Anyone run into this and have a workaround?

EDIT: I got a lightning fast response to my petition (GM had sent me a whisper when I tabbed back in from posting this) and it seems this is a known issue. He was able to take care of it for me quickly and I'm plowing through the next missions. If anyone knows the specific cause and/or ways to work around it though that would be great to avoid pestering a GM every time I run this thing, lol.

The toxic mist probably is a pseudo pet, I experienced this on my last run but it dissipated in the expected amount of time.

Logging out for 5 or more minutes will reset a mission, I think, so that may be an option.

I'm experiencing this same problem myself, in fact I came to boards to ask what I was missing in trying to complete this mission and then saw this thread. Looks like I will have to file a petition as well.

Well, resetting doesn't much matter when it just happens the second time as well. I did the mission, abandoned it and did it a second time. It happened both times.

Not sure what the issue is but the mist didn't go away in the expected time. I beat him, then went back and cleared all the enemies in the map, zoned out, zoned back in and back out again, then ran to the contact to see if I could talk and autocomplete, then zoned back in and filed a petitiona nd posted here... in that time it didn't go away.

I did both arc 1 and arc 2 in less than 15 minutes each, arc 3 took 45 on the timer (so not including the first attempt I abandoned). So yeah... I let that mist sit for a while. Kind of annoying, but at least the GM responded quickly.

GM had to come and complete the mission for me. I waited for about 40 minutes. After that, the arc ran smoothly.

Had the same problem myself yesterday. Sat in the mission for about an hour after petitioning, the Poison Gas Arrow stayed on the ground the whole time. Eventually I had to log for the night, and naturally I got an email about 10 minutes later from a GM saying that I was not online to be helped.

My guess is that the poison gas arrow pseudo-pet counts as a guardian for the hostage as it's spawned by one of her guards and as it doesn't despawn for some reason, she's locked in protected mode.

I'll have to give it another go tonight, hope the GMs have time to respond a little bit quicker.

Unfortunately I had to log out last night before I got any help with this issue. I saw upon logging in today that there's an announcement about the bug and that they're working on it. I figured I'd quit the strike force and try again after they fix it. However, abandoning the arc doesn't look to be a choice, unless I'm missing something. Fortunately, this time I was able to get a GM to auto complete the mission for me, so I can now move on.

However, I have to ask: is there really no way to quit a SSA once you've started it? Or is that a bug too?

You should be able to open the team window and select "Quit Task Force". If you don't get such an option, *that* would be a bug.

Has anyone tried using Self Destruct when this happens? Many location AoEs used by mobs are targeted on the player and I believe use the player as the "owner", so if you were defeated that might cause it to despawn. Then again it might not but it'd be worth a shot.
