If you have out leveled a story arc that gets a badge and you pick it up later can you still get the badge?

But, since Efficiency Expert is of level 45-50 range, you can't ever accidentally out-level it. Also, while it's pretty wonky, it's possible to fail some of Pither's tasks and still get the badge.

There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. Correct. If you totally out and out fail it, you're SOL.

Isn't it also possible to never get either of the two Hydra missions (one from Tina Macintyre, the other from Maria Jenkins) that awards the Multidimensional badge (required for the Portal Jockey Accolade)? You aren't guaranteed to get either of those two missions just because they become a contact, are you? As far as I can tell, neither mission is available in the Flashback list.

you cant specifically get those mishs, you would have to run through the entire arc till you got the specific mish (i believe the mishs are in the flashbacks)

First off it isn't Maria that gives the Hydra Mission, it is Unai Kemen. Second, it is possible to get that mission via flashback.

Also the Negotiator Badge mission isn't accessible via Flashback currently due to a bug.

Oops, sorry, I was thinking of Maria's "Defeat <boss> and his cronies" mission which also grants Multidimensional (it's not a Hydra mission).

So you're saying the Unai Kemen mission is available via Flashback?

The mission I think you are thinking of is "Stop the Ritual, Defeat Nightstar" which gives the Shrouded badge, not Multidimensional.

Yes, the last time I checked that is how I got that badge.

Edit:
Just checked, in flashback, it is the "Hydra Dimension" from Tina. Though you can do the Save 1,000 worlds arc from Unai to get it as well if I remember right.

Yes, you are right, I am getting my needed-for-Portal-Jockey badges all mixed up.

I will have to look for "Hydra Dimension" in the flashback system; I swear I tried to find that a few days ago but failed. Hmm.

Hydra Dimension is at the very bottom of the 40-45 list.

IS THIS TRUE???

The only attempt that I have ever made at Pither's missions was on my main/badge/souvenir hunter. This was some time around I14. I had heard of the Efficiency Expert badge and wanted to make a run at it. Was looking forward to it as a challenge.

He's a stalker. He got his first mission, which was Wipe out the Council Base. So, as a stalker, he snuck in, found the bomb and set it.

Nothing. No end of mission. No success. No mention in the mission objectives that there was anything else to do. Just nothing. So he goes running back the other way, killing everything he finds in a fit of pique.

He gets back to the front door. It's right there, he can see it , almost touch it.

Only three guys left.

AS...one down. Tear into the second. The guy has a sliver of health left and the time runs out. LOAD SCREEN!!

What a crock....

It is never stated in the mission brief or on the objectives that this mission is a Defeat All. If I had even an inkling that he had to defeat everyone in the mission, I would not have wasted half my time searching the base for the bomb. He would have just casually gone in and set about killing everyone. When he found the bomb, he would have set it as an "Oh, by the Way, let's blow the place up for good measure"

I haven't even looked at Pither since. Not on this toon, not on any other. When friends suggest "Hey I have this new contact named Pither. Wanna run his arc?", I politely reply in the negative. If they insist, I go find something else to do.

But, if there is even a chance to still get the badge, I might take another look.

There is not.
Maybe they'll change this at some point in the future but, for now, you only get once chance at the badge.

yes it is annoying that mish is not labeled as a defeat all, and i thought if you failed any of the mishs then it was a DQ for the badge, but dumpleberry pointed out that it may give some leeway on it (when i run his arc i almost always do it solo at minimal difficulty so never really had issues not completing anything)

Depends on the mission. Only 5 missions are needed for the badge.

Check this guide I just made: Mini-Badge Guide and Popmenu: Efficiency Expert

If I'm not mistaken, the stand-alone badge missions are always at the very bottom of their respective range's list...

Yes, but in this case (Hydra Dimension), it is the very last item on the 40-45 list.

Yes, thank you for pointing that out! I was able to take the Hydra Dimension mission, enter and then immediately leave the zone, and get the Multidimensional badge. Now it's just a matter of getting at the other 8 Praetorian villains I still haven't taken down yet. Oh Maria Jenkins, please be my friend!

Speaking of which, paragonwiki says that Mother Mayhem was added as a requirement for Dimensional Warder as of Issue 18. Did she replace someone, or is she in addition to the others? I don't recall how many were on the list back when I played before (prior to Issue 11), but it is 14 now...

I've heard reports of players just walking up and clicking Maria (without being introduced) and having her offer them missions. I can't test it myself since all of the characters I have that are high enough have already been introduced to her.

It might be worth it to at least try.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

To 5 police band missions in PI, then the safeguard. At that point you can pick Maria as a contact.

The Incarnate Trial versions of the Praetorians also count toward the Dimensional Warder badge.

Given that I was the one that made that change on the wiki, it is only fair that I answer it. She is an addition. There were 13/16 Praetorian Arch Villains that counted for the Dimensional Warder Badge, now there is 14/16. The two Praetorian AVs that don't count are Shadowhunter and Tyrant.

Re: Archmage accolade

Where's the best place to quickly amass Tsoo Sorc defeats (for the Tracer badge)? I'm pretty familiar with most blueside territories, but a lot has changed/been added since I stopped playing three years ago, so for all I know there may be a place where Tsoo Sorcs hang out in large numbers, the way Warwolves and Vampyri hang out on Striga Isle?

East side of the main island in Talos, but can be found all around Talos.

Not always, in my experience. However, repeat the process and you'll almost always be offered her the second time (rarely I've had to do it thrice).

Okay I logged on and checked the missions available between 45-50. The only missions listed from Pither are those attached to his arc.. Alone in the Darque. The problem with trying to obtain the badge through flashback, if you failed it the first try, is none of the missions required to obtain it are linked in an arc and it is necessary to successfully complete all but the 15:00 minute long "Steal Forumal from Crey".

It's basically a race against time to determine that you CAN complete all the assigned tasks in the short span of time Pithers allows.. Making you a true Effeciency Expert.

Now while I can understand your issue .. what part of Wipe Out the Council Base didn't you understand. Even the Wiki http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Efficiency_Expert_Pither states that while it is never a stated objective to succeed you are required to defeat all mobs. Didn't the title give you a clue at all... If all you needed to do was set off a bomb they would have, could have/should have, named it BLOW UP the Council Base. There are very few missions anywhere in game that make it as simple as findthe glowie, click the glowie, move on! .. notable exception the Get the data from the Crey Facility mission on the Manticore TF where it is possible for someone with stealth to locate and click the computer for a mission complete. Realistically I agree with you that since its a requirement for a badge they should make it clear what is required to be successful... Especially since there is no way to redo it if you fail. I can't confirmor deny it but the wiki states that you can't even join anyone else that has Pither as a contact and do the timed missions with them to earn the badge .. it has to be YOUR missions or all you are there for is support... Like Snow I soloed those missions to limit mob size and maximize my chances to succeeed. In my case when I did it I was still leveling my badger and wiped out all the mobs enroute to the bomb for the xp.

As Snow mentioned at this time the only other badge mission I know of that can't be done via flashback is Negotiator... I think the problem is that while it is possible to be given the mission by several different contacts if you do it normally... Maurice Feldon shows as the contact when you access the mission via flashback and no one bothered to move Maurice out of Galaxy City when issue 21 hit. Galaxy City remains as an echo but can't be accessed normally and since its impossible to reach the contact when the mission is complete.. you constantly get a message stating the mission can't be accessed at this time.. hopefully they will fix this soon .. should be as simple as switching the designated contact to either Paula Dempsey (KR) or Tony Kord (Atlas) since eother of them are still reachable.

Oh and just to clarify .. if you haven't been to the Echo of Galaxy none of the old contacts that used to be there exist .. at least not in Galaxy. I guess because Paula and Tony gave out the exact same set of missions someone decided maurice wasn't needed any morebut they forgot to remove him as THE point of contact for the Flashback!!!!!
