Roll a SS/FA or SS/Elec brute and KM/EA or KM/SD scrapper.
I played a lvl 50 SS/EA brute strictly on SOs in I21 beta and he was a beast. I also have a spines/EA scrapper in his early 30s and the ride has been very smooth, so I really don't think you have any reason to reroll your brutes, at least performance-wise.
/EA is /awesome now. Respec and hit the bricks to level your 2 toons up. I have a 50 KM/EA and he's one of my best / faves. I think an SS/EA will be very tough too. The extra recharge and end management of /EA will synergize w/ Rage quite well.
I have a kin/energy brute IO'd at 50. It is awesome to play. I think the scrapper version would be better though because of Power Siphon. (I hate the power and the mechanics of it.)
I enjoy my kin/ea more than my ss/sd brute.

People often prefer to play kinetic melee on scrappers because they get to refresh siphon on crits, which brutes can't do.
EA is awesome though. I'm playing a claws/ea brute and it's been a lot of fun so far (level 23!) SS would be great too, I just already have an SS brute.

Hmm... I have a 20 KM/WP Scrapper. I think that's why I went Brute with this one. Ah well. The character is only Level 10. I think I'll delete and remake as a KM/EA Scrapper.

I rolled up a Street Justice/EA Brute simply because I hadn't tried the Energy Armor set yet and knew nothing about it. At level 25, he's been a lot of fun, but he sucks down endurance like crazy. It will get better once I have enough slots for more EndRdx and can slot him up with some sets, but I'm really looking forward to those late EA powers.

my KM/EA is sitting pretty @ 46 right now getting ready for the big push to 50 ( which means ITF's and LGTF's for me )
He is a pretty darn good toon. He isnt at the soft cap just yet, but a few more tweaks and he will be very close which is fine because I pop Energy Drain as soon as I hit a mob. He has a ton of recharge built in and the additional recharge from Entropic Aura means everythig recharges very quickly.
At level 42 I was taking on level 47 Malta with no problem.
Defense debuffs are very noticeable, not as much defense debuffs resists like SR.
All in all a very good toon and If I can reach my goal it will be awesome..

I know 1 and 2 are possible because I did it on my SS/ELA tank.

My DM/EA Brute is an absolute beast. My now 41 KM/EA Scrapper is amazing on so many levels.
I don't care what anyone says, EA is a top tier set now. Easily competes with Shield.
The City of Heroes Community is a special one and I will always look fondly on my times arguing, discussing and playing with you all. Thanks and thanks to the developers for a special experience.
As the title says, I have two /EA Brutes, one SS/ and the other KM/. Both are currently Level 10, and were made before the recent changes to /EA.
Once I found out that the changes were coming, I held off on doing anything with them. I wanted to let the experts play with them, and then get some feedback.
So, the question is: Should I delete and remake the two Brutes, using a different Secondary, or should I request a rebuild (since I struggled to get them built to begin with...). I tend to solo a lot, and the SS/EA is a Praetorian because I wanted to see how the Resistance Story Arcs play out (I've played nothing but Loyalists since the launch of GR, because I wasn't happy with the initial story arcs for Resistance, nor with one contact always being in another zone.). I don't really use IO Sets, so those shouldn't factor into the equation, and I doubt either one will ever touch the Incarnate System.
If I do delete them, I'm thinking about making the Praetorian into Street/SD, and maybe doing /SD for the KM/ Brute as well. Oh, one other thing: /WP isn't an option. I already have nine /WP characters, 4 being Brutes, 4 being Scrappers, and 1 being a Tanker. I don't think I need anymore /WP characters.
