AE Farm?

So I'm still learning about the game and such since I've started playing again and I see a lot of people looking for AE teams. What's so great about it? Am I able to do it so I can get to lvl 50 really fast? I'm looking to get my first lvl 50 with my Crab spider and missions take a little too long. Also, do you need to be VIP in order to do AE farm? If not, what tier of premium do you need?

I might have more questions but I can't think of any at the moment.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Tier 2 can run AE missions without any rewards. Tier 4 can run AE with rewards. Tier 6 can run missions with rewards and created their own.

Panzerwaffen's image means he's getting the popcorn ready for the possible fireworks to follow. AE farms are a hot button issue in the game. Some people run them and get up to level 50 really quick, but have no clue how to play their character and have really bad power choices.

Play the way you want, but if you do go into AE, come out every now and then and figure out how the rest of the game works.

Well I think I have a fairly decent handle on the characters I play, I look at guides and such. I've looked at all the different builds for SoAs and decided on the AoE/Pet army type thing. I've been playing it pretty well I think so far, currently lvl 35, just got summon spiderlings and it's pretty nice.

Okay, these things count for nothing as far as knowing how to play your character.

And did you get there by playing, or just less efficient farming than AE?

I don't know what you define as less efficient farming than AE, so I can't really answer that. I don't know what people farm in this game, like I said I'm still learning since I've started playing again. I do missions with the occasional trial for the salvage and such to get my extra costume slot. By doing those missions to lvl like I have I believe I have learned how to play my characters pretty well. I'm not really sure what else there is to do yet since all lvl 50s seem to do is those trials in RWZ or RP.

I know some of the questions being asked sound strange, but we've had some strange encounters that led us to ask those questions.

For example, back when the AE was still new and the Epic Archetypes were still locked behind having to get a character to level 50 before you could play one, I met a player who was on a PeaceBringer. He was level 42 or 43 I think. He had his 6 month Vet badge and he still didn't know how to get out of Atlas Park and I had to explain what enhancements were because he didn't know how to use them.

Anyway I hope your enjoying the game and will stick around a long time.

I'm going to try and address some of the OPs questions specifically, without commenting one way or the other on the heart of the farming (and AE farming specifically) debate.

You are able to pick (or create for yourself) missions that have enemies that attack you in your stongest defenses, that don't have tricks that you find challenging, and that are specifically weakly resistant to your attacks. It also allows all of the enemies to be piled up in one spot, so as to reduce movement time consumed. It also allows almost zero travel time between missions. And lastly, it provides an inspiration vendor right next to *every* mission entrance. All this allows for very fast, and potentially fairly safe way to attack and defeat large numbers of enemies at once.

Potentially. It depends on how finely tuned a mission you can find (or create), how much repetition you can handle without losing focus, and how skilled you are at farming. If you can leverage all of these fairly well, it can dramatically lower your time to level to 50.

I believe all the remaining questions you have posted so far have been answered by others at least as well as I could have, and mostly better.

.
No, you do not have to be VIP to AE farm if you have T2 in vet rewards. I cant remember whitch one exactly but its one of them. To create a stroy arc you need to be in T4.

@SinfulD - So many 50's, and still going!

As I said above, it's tier 6 to create.

From the wiki page

Tier 6 Bonus

Owning 20 Reward Tokens grants the following: Lifetime access to all aspects of Mission Architect (create, test, publish [includes three story slots] and play),

Do the ITF, you can do it at 35 and it's great fun. Many people ITF'ed exclusively from 35 to 50, but there are other things you can do that are very nice.

I believe you can also start your patron arc at 35 now, if you can get a team for that they give good xp and are fun.

At 45, there's the LGTF which is one of my favorites.

If you saying you see people forming trials on RWZ and RPing a lot, you're probably on Virtue. If you can join channels (You're premium right? Dunno how it works for channels) look at your server's global channels and join them. Sure lots of people in Virtue's channels are after iTrials, but if that's your server, in the main channels there are always people forming mission and TF teams, and the ITF and LGTF are ran fairly often there. Plus nowadays even if you join a low level Tf like a level 24 treespec or any other you'll still have gain xp, although you won't have access to all your powers (if you're exemped to 20, you get your powers up to 25). The LRSF is challenging (unless you are in a team full of incarnates), fun and can be done at 45 iirc, I've only run it at 50.

There are also some new tfs I haven't run (Apex, Tin Mage) - those are harder to find but at least in the Virtue channels you'll find people forming them at least once in a busier time.

Since you're premium and can't use the Incarnate content (not that I find it fun running 50 trials repeatedly to unlock your Incarnate powers and depending on what drops you get to do it), I don't think it will be very fun for you to race to 50 especially since you don't have one yet.

'I don't like the look of it at all,' said the King: 'however, it may kiss my hand if it likes.'
'I'd rather not,' the Cat remarked.
'Don't be impertinent,' said the King, 'and don't look at me like that!' He got behind Alice as he spoke.
'A cat may look at a king,' said Alice.

I'd have to disagree with that. While there is a lot of dreck and farms in AE, there are some really good gems in there. It's just so hard to find them.

I was answering "what's so great about AE farms", not AE in general.
