TWO bats auras?

Hi,

I just noticed that when my chara did the Halloween trial for the second time, the first entry on the reward table (the costume change emote) had the red "you already have this" warning text.

The second entry (the bats aura) did not have the same text, even though I already bought the Halloween costume pack in the Paragon store. So, are there two different bats auras? I couldn't find a second one in the costume designer, but I might have overlooked something.

So, are there two bats auras, or is the one I can unlock as a reward from the trial the same aura I can buy at the store?

Thanks for any information on this.

Doesn't anyone know what the costume change emote is for the first one? /CCFlockOfRavens or something? I didn't see it on Paragon Wiki.

I believe it's called "CCMurderOfCrows" in binds or macros.

I'm pretty sure all we have is the Murder of Crows CCE and the Bats Aura. The confusion lies in that you can get the Bats Aura from both the in-game trial and the Paragon Market. If you already have the Bats Aura from the Paragon Market I'm pretty sure you don't have to choose it from the trial even though it will let you choose it. Basically the trial apparently can't tell that you already own it in that case. *shrugs*

The OP specifically said he/she isn't talking about the costume change emote.

I ran into the same thing. I assumed, but don't know, that it was the same exact aura, and thus avoided it. It shouldn't let you be able to take something you already have, but as the hasn't always happened int he past, I erred on the side of caution. I'd too, would be interested to know if anyone knows for certain, or has tested this.

It is? What is its name? And why doesn't it show up in the costume change emote list at the bottom of the costume selection window?

Just to make sure, there is a "Murder of Crows" costume change emote (the first selection) and a "Vampire Bats" costume change emote?

I don't have the reward dialog box on my screen right now, but I was under the impression that while the costume change emote had birds, the thing with the bats was an aura.

No, there's a Bat Aura, which you chooser at a Tailor. And there's a costume change emote which you access with the command line:

/cce 0 CCMurderOfCrows

I usually bind these to a key on the keyboard. To bind the above costume change emote to Alt-C, use:

/bind alt+c cce 0 CCMurderOfCrows

That's a zero sitting by itself there on both of those lines, not the letter 'O'. Use a different number other than zero to change to a different costume slot.

Just re-read the OP, and it seems that Tenjoy got the opposite of what I got. I got the, "You already own this" text on the Bats Aura, but not on the Costume Change Emote, which I took as my reward, and then checked my costume picker window thinger to make sure it was there.

Very odd. And most probably bugged.

I think you all missed what the OP was saying.
As part of the Halloween Costume Pack, for sale on the Paragon Market, you get an aura called Bats. A Bats Aura is also available as a reward from doing the House of Horrors trial.

The question was, are these two auras the same, and thus are you wasting a selection by taking them when you already have it through the the costume pack that was purchased from the market.

I'll have to put in a bug report, then, as I've wasted that 2nd selection on more than one character. There should be a message or something saying that you already own this Aura, so that people dont mistakenly take the option when they cannot benefit from it.

That would be it. A group of crows is a "murder". Just two crows?

I think they're flagged differently in the database because one is a free earnable aura per character while the other is an account-wide unlock.

Yes, that's exactly what I was asking. I'm sorry if my text failed to convey this.

Thanks. I suspected this, since I could still find only one bats aura in the costume designer even after claiming the second reward, but since the game does have a "you already own this" warning for the trial reward table that did not show up for the second reward, I wanted to make sure.
