Is there any reason for "burnout" with Street Justice?

Just as the title says... I'm trying to figure out if it's worth taking Burn Out on my Street Justice toon.

He's basically in the mid 40's and although it's in my build plans, I am starting to question it. I have not used it yet on any character, so I'd appreciate some thoughts.

Thanks.

Combat readiness>Curshing Uppercut>Burnout>Combat Readiness>Crushing Uppercut is one hell of a lot of burst damage. I don't know if it's worth it, but that should make anything short of an av dead.

This^^^ wouldn't really be enough to justify it to me.

Maybe something in your secondary like back to back Instant Healing or some other "God mode" power would work well.

But if you have the room in your build, there are worse power picks you could make.

Still got about 16 levels before I can see if Soul Drain>Aim>Burnout>Soul Drain>Aim>Atomic Blast will work before the first Aim wears off. Or maybe Soul Drain>Aim>Atomic Blast>Blue Insp>Dark Consumption>Burnout>Soul Drain>Aim>Atomic Blast. Although a mob needing that much damage to take down is probably going to require a tanker/brute taking the aggro.

For Street Justice I don't know if I'd use Burnout. The hit to your endurance would be bad for anyone using toggles. Nearly 50 end (48.75) to use out of the box, which you can't slot for (it only takes recharge reduction), with a -25 max end hit for one minute is a lot to pay for some extra punching.

They ALL float down here. When you're down here with us, you'll float too!

Yup I think there's more use for Burnout when combined with excessively long recharging effects (T9's and Conserve Power) than for much else. I would look more at you have outside of your primary instead.

I wasn't even thinking of long recharging powers. I was thinking, here's a power that can't have it's recharge increased at all, now I get to double use it every now and again

Very interesting indeed. I never even thought of that (my 43 SJ is a WP character). Typically I don't take any crashable shields.

So I had Burnout, then made this post, dropped it on respec, and now.... I'm thinking of getting it again, just for this little trick. Thanks for that....

I'm not entirely sure I'll do it. My current respec plans use that new leaping PBAOE attack (Spring attack?) which also appears to fill the AOE gap of SJ.

I didn't really think StJ had a AOE hole. That said, you may prefere the Spring Attack over that little trick. Conserve Power plus the ENDREC from SoW should cover the -END that happens with Burnout, while giving you some serious +Resist, but it's of limited time/use.

You'll likely get more out of Spring Attack.

No it really doesn't have an AOE hole... I just mean that I would like more please.

My 'rebuild' includes Spring Attack. Some in game friends are telling me it's rather 'meh' but it would work well with this character I believe.

Keep in mind Spinning Strike does more damage than Spring attack, and that's before any combo addition. While it looks cool, Spring Attack is more or less a heavily watered down version of Lightning Rod so unless you want it for thematics or you got a free power slot it's probably not worth it.

Depends on your secondary I suppose. If you have any long recharge powers you want to occasionally have back RIGHT NOW, it'd be a good pick. If you're a softcapped SR, you can live without it.

Spring attack cannot match up to other AOEs. But it can complement them all quite nicely. Bonus if you want to play positional games.
