Travel Power - Wall Running/crawling/climbing/scaling/etc

Some heroes, try as they might, simply can't defy gravity and fly, some can't leap tall buildings in a single bound.

Does this mean that they don't deserve to see what it's like on top of Paragon's tallest structures? I certainly don't think so.

I'd like to propose a wall running or climbing travel power. It would work by, while toggled, treating any solid surface as flooring (ie, something a character can attach to) It could be running, climbing or even crawling, like our friendly neighbourhood guy in red and blue.

Some heroes might be able to defy the law of Gravity and use magic to soar into the skies.

But no hero can overcome the mysterious laws known as Game Engine Constraints.

As an friendly FYI your suggestion has already been hotly debated/discussed over the years here. It's generally accepted that such a travel power will not happen here due to limitations in the game system. Those limitations still don't keep some people from thinking it could still happen anyway. For what it's worth the threads on this topic have been amongst the most "entertaining" to follow.

There's nothing wrong with making suggestions in this forum. Just be mindful that after nearly 8 years it's quite likely that just about anything obvious that could be suggested here probably already has been suggested here.

I think the major drawback for me (aside from any game limitations that may prevent it entirely) is that it would be a really horrible travel power. It would only help you travel on a single axis, and that axis doesn't generally help all that much. Sure, it would let you climb a wall and scale a building, but would that help you get to your mission any faster? Maybe if you've taken Super Speed, this would be a great additional power, but otherwise, it doesn't really give us anything too useful.

Seven year old game engine says No.

That simple, really. It's not for lack of knowing or wanting to make it happen.

Just hop from ledge to ledge.
Most of the buildings in Praetoria don't seem to have as many ledges. They are harder to climb. :/
