Sorry I wasnt there. but the notice was retardedly short, nor did anyone tell me it was happening until it was actually going on. In future give atleast some notice please.
Last night Ellie demonstated to a large bunch of CoT demons that annoying a Londoner is REALLY bad for their health as she obliterated them in a single blast.
She also demonstrated that she can't half swear!

Well, last night I was more than a little distracted by two things. One, trying to figure out if my computer was going into meltdown after the night before (answer: no, but CoH runs it hotter than I'd like. I may have to invest in a new case). Two, keeping Pix and Baby Shad happy.
Sorry for vanishing, folks. To make up for it, I'm hoping to have fiction up at some point tomorrow, after it's been checked by my proofreaders/technical advisers. Any meanness that may result is actually my own doing.

OH MAN, drama. What is it with the demon-people recently? They seem to be like proverbial buses.
But yeah, before Shad/Fea/et al blew a Helena-shaped hole in things I kinda had plans of my own involving AE-missionry and magical artefacts and warehouses and whatnot, which I think some people might have been interested in doing.
But, now things are kinda different, h-uh? As discussed with Shad I had kinda pencilled the thing in for doing on Saturday, before/only-slightly-overlapping meeting-time so as not to monopolise people. What I guess I'm asking is, is it still pointful to attempt this or are we in overcrowd-mode now? Accuse me of cheating by using OOC channels all ya like, but I'd rather not make the effort if no-one is gonna show up.
(note: this is not a complaint and it is not some form of incitement against anyone. If anyone tries to treat it as such I will be highly peeved at them.)

Sorry for the sudden bail last night, folks. The missus got a sudden malware driveby attack last night that I had to go deal with. Unfortunately, it's a little toerag called "System Fix" that fakes loads of HD failure messages, wipes all your restore points, wipes most of your program links and points them at more fake alerts, and then worst of all, all the Googling brought back instructions for removal which include installing an app called "StopZilla".
Oh boy, do I regret THAT! NEVER install this program, folks, it's a scam. It generates false positives, doesn't get rid of any real threats and hijacks your browser to redirect to its own website and a "Buy me" link. You can't get rid of it either!
So later today, her machine gets a full wipe and Windows reinstall. Fun!

No luck with a safemode reboot and a malware remover?
Going to have to watch out for that one, it sounds nasty.

As seen in the IC thread, I can be a bit mean too. EvilFea and myself had intended that to occur over the next few nights but, with Toppa onto the fact that she was after the trackers, the timing had to be accelerated. Toppa's to blame(!)

What you need is something like.

Download it with a second computer, boot the infected one into safe mode.
Run R-kill, wait a bit, pray that it works, then run Malware.
Not much help now since you did a fresh install, but handy for next time, because there is always a next time.
I hate those damn fake positive scams, I'm surprised no government hasn't stepped in to make them illegal.

Taking a little break from FF RP for a little while, may drop by PD or something. Will be back on Isaiah to help out with the Sha'Atael mission then might swing by afters.
Speaking of missions: mission! But done by that person what only three of you know exists - me!
Having spoken to... people, I think Saturday works best. Timewise, I pretty much have the whole evening free, so iuno. 8.15? 8.30? Something around there? Any MAJOR OBJECTIONS?
