Zwillinger's Abuse of Power Set
I don't get why you guys think there's only two speeds:
1. CS Silence 2. CS Admin Spam Why not find a happy middle ground: Professional, proof-read, delivered messages designed to increase social awareness without imposing on the players. It's not a big deal. Just makes me think Zwill DGAF. |

[Guide to Defense] [Scrapper Secondaries Comparison] [Archetype Popularity Analysis]
In one little corner of the universe, there's nothing more irritating than a misfile...
(Please support the best webcomic about a cosmic universal realignment by impaired angelic interference resulting in identity crisis angst. Or I release the pigmy water thieves.)
A couple of things:
- I dont bind every single channel I type into. I am in my max for globals, and I participate in Arena, Help and Request. Mistells happen, I'm human, life goes on.
- We try to minimize how frequently we use server wide admin.
- We're not going to stop using admin to announce if we're on a server playing with the Community or if we're running an event. The admin channel is the surest way to let everyone online know what's going on. If we didn't, we would have more people complaining that they were never told.
- Every time you see red, it's not necessarily server wide. We can type zone wide (map) or server wide through our various commands.
- We are particularly mindful on servers such as Virtue and Union as we know that it has a higher number of Roleplayers congregating there. We wish to participate in the Community without disturbing RP sessions, however there are times where we will utilize admin.
- We are professional to a point. We also remember that we're working on a computer game and we're supposed to be having fun.
TLDR version: CM's make typos, we like playing with the players, RP will not be invaded by daily red chat.

Since they have the power to do all kinds of things, why cant they fix the chat to help the spam. Yes its truly annoying for all my chat windows to get uber redness chat each time a admin decides to bug us about whatever they think is fun. Even for events its annoying, not EVERYONE does them so why does the hole server have to be forced to see everything they say. Make it an option to filter out in some windows/channels. I filter alot of stuff out of my chat windows, even making a separate window just for tells, why cant we do that for admin talk too?
Its not that I dont mind admins playing, but do we really need to see everything they talk about? Or is it there choice to annoy the crap out of us? lol Just curious
@SinfulD - So many 50's, and still going!
You know you can make new tabs without admin in it and just switch to them when you want to avoid admin chat.

I notice, because admin chat lights the tabs names up, telling me there's something new on the tab. When it's something that doesn't light up much, like my market messages tab, it stands out.
Edit: Just to be clear, I don't mind the admins/GMs/whatnot doing this sort of thing as long as they don't go nuts with it. I'm not terribly perturbed that their chat made it look like I bought/sold something by lighting up my "Market" tab.

It's a side effect of the fact that admin is the only global channel that isn't automatted, for the most part. And it's made to show in every tab so when they have the "server down" warnings nobody can say they missed it. If it wasn't for the mistells (like doing /l instead of /lc for use, just more noticeable) there would of been only the one message.

Negaduck: I see you found the crumb. I knew you'd never notice the huge flag.
And the fact about the mistells is important - since Z was doing this as a CM and not a player, he had to use his NCSoft account, which will always have a chance of a mistell to admin
