Is not allowing free players to use tells really necessary?
I watched last night as on the infinity help channel was trolled by a F2per who kept bashing the game and say on how it going to fail.
Then another who kept spamming his battle cry over and over in the help channel.

I know when in the days of trial accounts, they'd set it up so you'd be notified if you sent a tell to someone on a trial.
This is a also inconvenient for VIP players who follow good gaming etiquette. They have no way of knowing the person they just sent a tell to can't respond, so

If you send a tell to someone who can't send tells- you should be noticed. If not, that's the issue to address, rather than the free players lacking the ability to send tells.
Still hate the visit Winscott mission- make it dropable, have it give actual exp or remove it altogether. PS- Down knows who you are.

While the Ignore as Spammer selection was primarily put in to deal with RMT spam, it is appropriate to use it for other instances of spam on a channel, especially in Help.

In another MMO their devs tried an auto-silence feature where if enough petitions were filed the offending account lost all ability to communicate for 24 hours or until a GM reviewed it.
Sadly they had to pull the feature because the jerks immediately started using it to grief innocent players because they thought it was funny getting people silenced.

Devs just need to add more to our ignore list. Say a additional 100-200.

An extra couple hundred on top of a thousand doesn't seem like a big difference.

Though it would be funny to see it sold in stores.
Actually, no it wouldn't.
A thousand doesn't seem so low to me since I'm rarely dealing with spammers these days, but maybe free players will end up making me change my mind.

I agree with all you have said in this reply and your longer previous one. Thank you for saving me a lot of typing.

Clear them out periodically of the ones you know are just spammers. They don't use account names for long. There's no reason to keep kjb659 ignored forever.

Loose --> not tight.
Lose --> Did not win, misplace, cannot find, subtract.
One extra 'o' makes a big difference.

Guess you never played on the Freedom server then. Atlas Park and Cap au Diable are horrible for money farmers spamming let alone people spamming for AE runs.

Ha! Make the gold farmers pay to spam! Nice one.

Unless it's be very recently changed, the ignore list isn't 1,000, it's only 100.

Edit: Just verified, it's still only 100 people max on ignore list.

I have better things to do with my game time than filling up my ignore list and going thru it to delete RMT spam every single time I log on.

Yes I can easily add 100 spammers to my ignore list each night.
