Full time hero or not?

I'd definitely by the secret identity type of hero.
I'd probably mostly end up serving on-call for the police department(s, how many things I can do depends on my powers) to loan a hand when they need someone of my talents. But I'd probably end up very weary of anyone of higher government authority than cops.

I would also probably be a ninja-themed hero... >.>

Villain ruling my own country.

I would be something in between. Something like Robin Hood - steal from rich, give to poor (and keep some cash for living).

I always end up as chaotic/good character in games. I don't mind helping anybody with even smallest problem and I am willing to sacrifice myself for others - but always taking with me whatever is not locked down (and even some things that are locked down).

A Vampire like Omar in the Wire: robbing the gangs for their loot. And causing so much noise that the cops have to come by.

Can't say I'd be a hero... I may use my superpowers for good deeds here and there but I'd mostly use them for my own benefit and keep my identity a secret.

Heroes mad jelly that you can be a full time Villain and live like a king.

I supposed I'd be a mask wearer, but for two reasons:

1. how vulnerable I am. If I'm a natural squishy archer, that doesn't help when a bomb is set off in your apartment.

2. how vulnerable are those around me. I'm not even considering the close-standing Lois Lanes. I'm thinking my arch-enemies would pull up my yearbooks and target every member of my high school, then hack my social network page, and then they'd get my little dog, too.

What I'd rather do is get the tech wizards to whip up a holographic mask which alters the appearance of my face. A mask without appearing to be one. Bonus points if it also alters my voice and can adjust the appearance, allowing me to mimic others.

I suppose I could also do what the Lone Ranger did: bury his real self, and almost always live behind the mask. That way, when he did take off the mask, no one knew him (nor could threaten his loved ones) and his real face became the disguise.

I'd probally just be public about it, but only to people I see every day. For a real job I'd work in the mourge. So much bussiness if you have a world full of new heroes and villains.

For my namesake, assuming he could shapeshift from man to werewolf at will, he would keep a secret identity. He uses the powers he has to help, but isn't keen on letting others in on the monster he could be. It's a razor's edge; one that could hurt even the ones he loves.

Myself, assuming I were more 'Superman' I'd still keep a secret identity. I don't like people in general at the best of times. Myself and a few friends maintain that's why we'll never get super powers . I want to help, but I don't want or need people up my "pancake" about it even if the fight is something I agree in.

Of course if I were alone, I may feel a bit differently. Having a family changes those priorities a bit.

I'm sure those kinds of thoughts apply to everyone's concept of whether or not they'd be 'full time' hero or even villain.

I couldn't agree more.

I have to go with this as well.

No one pays attention to me, cause I listen to the voices in my head.

I wouldn't bother being a Hero as such, I'd be the guy taking over the world to save humanity from their own stupidity (think Tyrant). A world free of war, famine and poverty.
If anyone decides to undermine my rule in any way, then they'll have to suffer explody death!

Depends on how my powers and appearence worked out. If say I was all Silver Surfery and stuck that way, I guess I'd be a hero 24/7 if say I was all Iron Manly then I would be a hero on call since I could hide my indentity and well deriving your powers from an exoskeleton leaves you rather vulnerable when your out of costume.
