No. You'll need to invite a ViP to your Supergroup to help you pay rent if you go Preem.

I know the devs have said that things like base editing are *supposed* to be limited to VIPs only, but that's not what my testing found. So it was either very bugged in Beta, or they've changed their minds. It would be nice to know which.
My Preem account got activated today and was not able to pay the rent. The SG registar wouldn't even give him the menu option when I checked.

edit: nvm, I think this account is bugged, since Exalted isn't grayed out. And I am indeed on a premium account and not on the VIP one.
Even if your base rent is paid up the option to pay is going to be there. as a preem you don't even get that option

I'll tell you in a couple of months what it says for characters created by a VIP on Exalted once they go Premium.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

edit: Now I'm confused, I've logged in a much older trial account and Exalted isn't grayed out, and on top of that, it has 7 total tokens which is 5 more tokens than my current account from the $1.99 City of Heroes sale (which will go premium by the end of this month). Ahh, I don't know what's going on anymore

Well, I should have stated it as Free players, since that is what the account I tried it with was.
But it wasn't an old Trial account. It was ... an account that has never had any money spent on it. No characters on the account on any server when I logged in. 2 unlock tokens.

Interesting. I have four accounts accessible:
1: @Aggelakis, my main account, whose tokens are all properly in order.
2: @kellzilla, my second account, a previously subbed account with at least two box codes applied, Premium account; cannot log in yet.
3: @Spamula, my third account, a prestige-padding trial account upgraded with the $1.99 deal, Premium account; 1200 paragon points, 2 global character slot tokens, 2 reward tokens.
4: @kelciann, a trial account from my attempted dual boxing days, Free account; 0 pp, 4 slot tokens, and 1 reward token.
Regarding oddities:
1: No oddities that I can find.
2: I don't understand why some trial accounts are getting migrated before some previous subscribers, you'd think they'd do all previous subbers first and THEN previous trials.
3: I have no idea why Spamula has 1200 pp. She should have 800 pp at most.
4: I have no idea why kelciann has 4 slot tokens. She should have 2 slot tokens at most.

A friend came back to the game tonight, enjoyed it, paid for VIP access... and did not get VIP access (he got his 400PP, but all his slots were still locked and he didn't gain the reward token) in the hour or two afterwards.
That seems like a bug. I told him to /bug it, I think he did.
He can try logging out and logging back in. That made Tokens show up faster on beta.

Hopefully it's fixed this morning.
Did he try unlocking his slots a mate came back and payed for a months ViP just to see what IO he had on some toons and he had to unlock every toon on the account one at a time.
