Store bought Karma -KB not working?

Hello all, I have a question about the store bought enhancements.
I recently bought the Karma knockback protection IO (not the whole set) from the store and slotted it in hover on my new character (lvl 10).
Then i found i still kept getting knocked down by things that shouldnt be able to (not stacked or simultaneous hits etc).
OK, i thought, ill check my powers info. Much to my surprise i noticed that no KB protection is registering at all.
Have i misunderstood how these "attuned" IO's work? And if so could someone help explain their correct usage as i have wasted a few unslotters already moving it around (on the character i bought it on)

Thanks for your advice in advance.

There is a thread in the technical issues/bugs forum about this very issue. It appears to be bugged and not working.

I beleve the power has to be active for the -KB to work try it with hover on.

If it functions like a normal Karma: -KB IO, then the KB protection functions like a set bonus. In other words, no, the power it's slotted in does NOT need to be turned on.

Yep, i did try making it active and moving it into different powers as well, just in case, but it does indeed appear to be bugged.

On the other hand, the Kismet +acc is a proc, and as such it only works when hover is on.

I have a respec lined up that will fix this mistake. Bah.

I can be found, outside of paragon city here.
Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.

And further because it acts (or is supposed to, sounds like it is bugged) like a set bonus, it's the level of the IO that matters. The level of the IO must be no more than 3 levels above your current character (exemplar etc.) level for it to function.

And the level of the io is set by the level of the character. Depending on how they define that second part, it could mean that exemplaring below current level-3 would always diable these - making them worse than buying one on the market.

I'm guessing that's not how they work, since it would make the whole idea a rip off, but it's possible.

The term you are looking for is "Combat Level"
