Okay, it would be a mashup of:
A Chinese Ghost Story, only set in modern day. Instead of the timid tax collector, I would be more of the bad@$$ wandering rapping kung-fu spiritualist monster hunter/saver character from that movie: more Jackie Chan(humor)/Bruce Lee(coolness)/Mystique(love shapeshifting) than Cool Old Guy, though. However, like the humble tax collector, I would attract the love of an immortal super powered Cute Monster Girl.
Also unlike the movie, I would not only save her soul but also enable her to remain with me in corporeal form.
Mash that up with Buckaroo Banzai (a wealthy, well-known heroic figure with his own comic book, his own roadhouse rock band and a Nakama of genius specialist butt kickers saving the world from a Rogues' Gallery of bad guys on a regular basis) and you pretty much have a deal.
Also, throw in a little X-Men: my Nakama of genius band members need to have powers of their own and access to training as well.
The name of the movie is "Nine Tales", and it is framed as an anthology with the overarching storyline of saving the Cute Monster Girl as the meta/connecting story. Each of the Nine Tales turns out to be how I (in various guises) and my Nakama succeed in saving her while dealing with menaces that at first seem unconnected, but which turn out to be minions/plots of the overall Big Bad.
The Big Bad, of course, would have to turn out to be (David) Lo Pan. So to top it all off, it could be a stealth sequel to Big Trouble in Little China. So music and direction by John Carpenter and a cameo by Kurt Russell.

I would be like neo in the matrix. Except I would also do the "entering the mind of other people thing" like in being john malkovich. Then I would mind ride other people by touch like in the movie fallen with denzel washington. All the while showing people the truth behind the matrix and waking them up to the real workings behind their reality.

Neo never really did figure out the full scope of his powers and by the time he came close to doing so it was the end.

My take is that everytime another "one" is arising, there is an Agent with the "alpha mentality" to make decisions and actions similar to what Smith was doing in the first Matrix such as when he told the others to leave him alone with Morpheus. The other two looked at each other with a silent "whiskey tango foxtrot" expression then left the room. Smith then removes his ear piece and starts speaking rather candidly to Morpheus about how he feels about the Matrix and how he is trapped within. After Neo blew up Smith, the Architect reassembled him and tweaked his power levels, and Smith rejected going in to be erased. What I don't think was part of the plan was for Smith to go totally viral and take over everyone. What Smith did was overwrite himself onto others, but if he could do that, then perhaps Neo could have done something similar or at least mind scanned anyone connected to the Matrix.
I would be a character that's a cross between Fred MacMurray's absent-minded professor and Doc Brown.
I would have discovered/invented something that could shake today's society to it's very core. The kind of thing that upsets several powerful political/corporate entities that would start my life very complicated.
I would have a couple of close confidants and a potential love interest join me to out think and out maneuver the forces rising against me, using my discovery/invention to stay just one step ahead of them.

Mine would be a Big Lebowski kind of situation where I'm going along with my normal life and then with some kind of confusion when people make a mistake about me and what I've done. The bad guys take interest in me because they think that I know something and cops take an interest in me because the bad guys have taken an interest. Hilarity and some action ensue and I remain clueless as to what's going on the entire time.

When the rate of deception is high - many honestly naive questions may be quickly rejected as trolling. This can be quite off-putting to the new user who upon venturing a first posting is immediately bombarded with angry accusations. Calling someone a troll without posting positive feedback is passive aggressive trolling, so don't do it, stupid.

Title - Murder by Moonlight (I'm horrible at names, sorry lol)
My Character - A detective for a big city police department. He's pretty new to the job, but is liked and respected by most. He's clever and observant, which is why he's so good at his job. He keeps to himself and prefers to be alone, even though he's often invited to events or other social events. He likes having a simple, quiet life.
Plot - While on the job he gets a call to investigate a murder scene. There are 2 bodies. One mangled beyond all recognition. The one next to it has a knife in it's chest and no ID. After all photos are taken and evidence gathered (including the knife), the bodies are taken to the morgue. The detective eventually tracks down who he thinks is the murderer, but turns out the guy was defending himself. The person who was stabbed was actually a werewolf, and the knife was silver. With the knife removed, the man gets up. Confused and freaked out, he runs for home. With the help of some police friends, he follows a trail of bodies and tracks down the werewolf. He re-stabs it with the knife and finds a way to dispose of it so it can't come back.
