Change Claim Order for Vet Powers in I21

New I21 claim system is "reversed" with a Claim All. It appears to claim all vet powers from newest to oldest. The issue comes in when claiming the blackwand or nemesis staff non-boosted versions. The origin specific bonus is the "last" selection and if you have already picked the one that is your origin it is too late.

Options:

1. Leave the order alone and put up the origin info even for the non-bonus selection.

2. Change the order to be chronological from the oldest vet reward to the newest.

3. (Least likely) Allow a "respec" of vet power selection so they can be reselected if an error occurs.

4. Add Cancel option back in as in old vet claims (which can be used as "Skip" to access the desired item) [Edit: Added item 4]

I realize this just requires being vigilant to know what to select, but even doing it manually seemed to be confusing. I used to just open the Vet badges and work my way from oldest to newest with no issue. New system, I hosed 2 new guys assuming I picked the right one first thinking that the origin specific bonus was still available, and I got it backwards.

For important stuff like Vet award selection I'd almost be willing to suggest that the Devs remove the "claim all" option just to avoid problems like this. What's the point in having an option that might save you 30 seconds of setup time if it's way too easy to permanently screw up what you want or don't want with it?

I mentioned this in beta as something I felt would/could be an issue so I've been thinking about this for a bit myself. I'd like to see if it would be feasible for the dev's to add in a option that would allow you to cancel getting the vet reward at that time. (ie a way to back out of the vet reward option selection) I know that over on beta I messed up the vet reward order on one toon because it wasn't clear.

It's still not clear. I think it will be unclear to returning vets.

I've posted in Beta, too, that:

1. The order of claiming Blackwand/Nemesis Staff with the origin boost and without is backwards.

2. The 'claim no reward' button is a horrible, horrible thing because most people would think of it like a cancel button as in 'claim no reward *now*', but instead, clicking on 'claim no reward' removes that reward from ever being claimed. Really Bad Idea. A 'cancel-choose later' button is much needed instead.

I had to reroll my first new post-I21 character because I messed up the vet attack picks too. I really don't like the use of the email window for the vet rewards because it is too small. I'd much prefer the return to the larger Badge window with the chronological listing.

Worse than that, if you hit Claim All on a non-50 and you've got Ascendant costume pieces, it'll just fail as soon as it gets to the first one.

Claim all sucks when using on a non-level 50 toon as some of the "account" awards you may have are limited to being level 50. When you use Claim All, it gets "stuck" on those rewards instead of jumping to the next that you meet the requirements for.

There is no need to remove the claim all button for this one little problem. Personally I think they should drop the origin bonuses and give both the average damage.

Edit: Sorry I didn't see the lvl 50 gear issue posts.

There's an option in the menu to hide unclaimable account rewards that lets "claim all" work on non-50s with Ascension armor pieces. That needs to be turned on by default, or the error message needs to tell you it's there.

As for swapping the order: /signed.

Solution: roll Natural characters, who get the bonus from both Blackwand and Nemesis Staff.

This happened to me with Haggan. I didn't "claim all," but I was claiming them in order and the names were truncated in my Email window, so I accidnetally picked the "another one of what you haven't picked" reward before the choice between Nemesis Staff and Black Wand. I didn't know there was a bonus in one version but not in another, and I may well have picked the Nemesis Staff without the bonus.

I did the same thing on at least a couple of characters—relatively higher level characters, too. That's really annoying; there's no indication that you forego your origin-based bonus if you take one power but not the other. I'd really like the option to "respec" my vet rewards so I can fix that.
