Tutorial Giant Shivan Fight - Not Teleported

That happened to me in Beta. I assumed it was WAI like missions where you join with mission 2/5ths done and you get no mish complete reward. I could be wrong though.
Ditto to the joined GM fight already in progress and having to fight a new crop of 15 shivans and the GM before getting ported. This may be WAI, but I can see new players being confused or annoyed by this.
Was the same way all through Beta. If you joined a fight in progress, there was a chance you would not be teleported out and would have to run the mission from the beginning.

Yeah, 2nd run through I zoned into the fight just as he fell. Watched the others port out and then had the mass of Shivans appear... I was all alone, on a controller.
Was spamming like mad for the minute or so it took a few others to arrive.
Though, now that we have such an Epic encounter, less than 5 minutes into playing, we need to continue this feel throughout the whole game. Having GM's show up in standard arcs would be a good middle ground though.

Strangely I've have the opposite happen.
I wanted to get a good screenie of GG for the 9pm at GG Rp Group so I deliberately didn't attack anything once I went through to the 2nd section.
I lined up the shot, went to hit PrtScr and was teleported to the next section.
Go figure?
When I entered the finale the Giant Shivan was already damaged, at like 2/5. I helped finish it off and the other player was teleported but not me.
On the bright side, I've run half a dozen characters through the new tutorial and this is the first time it's happened (to me, at least).
I fought off the shivans and the Giant Shivan again and it properly teleported me.
I'm not sure why I had to do it twice.
