R.I.P. Uncle Ben
He'll always be Charly to me. He was playing humble and endearing long before there ever was mention of a Forrest Gump or Rainman. R.I.P., sir.

Normally I don't get too sentimental when a celebrity passes on, but he was one of my favorites. 88 yrs is a good run and he had a fine career.
not only did he play the inspiring uncle of a superhero, but he also played a supervillain. Anyone remember Shame from the '60s Batman?
I was surprised he was still alive when I saw him in in the first Spider-Man. He was a great actor.
The best comics are still 10!

WARNING: I bold names.
That's unfortunate. I thought he captured the spirit of Uncle Ben perfectly. I know the pics in the article aren't that recent (the posters look like Spider-man 2, so 2005ish?), but still he didn't look all that bad for a guy in his 80s.

Yes 88 yr old Cliff Robertson has pasted away. I am so bummed now. I remember watching him in "P.T. 109" were he played John F. Kennedy.
