So... I thought the servers were supposed to be up no later than a while ago.
Yeahhhh
@Psycho Jas
Can understand the need to fix problems, but 15 mins notice is NOT good enough, it kinda hurts when you have spent the last 30 mins forming up for an ITF and you are in the first mission and you are given 15 mins warning.
Not impressed.
Cos half the servers taking a crap totally means they should wait to take the other servers down because they're DEFINITELY not going to also take a crap...because they know this FOR SURE. Because emergency maintenance isn't an emergency. [/sarcasm]

So.... i can completely take this down time... recently returning after almost a year but hey... the point is the only part that makes this frustrating is being told that the servers would be up about 2 hours ago and they're not.... Now i understand that a quick fix n reboot the server will just result in more (if not worse) "crashing" Plz just give us an update... even if it says the servers are really a pain in the @$$ right now... at this point any news is better than NO news!!!! I believe i speak for all of us CoX subscribers when i say we are paying for it at least keep us up-to-date
So... Yea... WHEN ARE THE SERVERS COMING BACK UP??
*waiting for the 'but its freaking middle of the night in US' replies*
I do respect the timezone on the US side (night), but with upto 9 hours timedifference, we're talking normal daytime closing into primetime EU side.

Anyone who has played this game for any amount of time should know by now that we dont get updates when there is downtime. Yes I think there should be regular updates, but it is a sad fact that it is common practice of the devs to keep subscribers in the dark until they see fit to update us. The update will happen after servers come up is my guess.

Lol but by the time the servers come back up.... i will have no use for the update as i will be logging in already
Yeah, emergency maintenance sucks but, if you give an ETA and fail to meet it you should at least post an update of some kind, especially when it is nearly 2 hours past the original estimate. Failure to keep customers updated gives the impression of either a lack of knowledge or a lack of concern, both of which can justifiably lead to frustration and could be easily avoided.
"Life is what happens when you are making other plans"
but im sure you're right as to thats when they will update us.... i just would like to think that the dev's care as much about the ppl who pay to play this game as the do to the game we pay to play.... if that makes any sense...
Also letter to the dev's..... is this major crash going to occur every week now? if so can we do a mass majority vote for the day?
I learned long ago that they dont care about the players just their money, as that is the way of most buisinesses. Sad but true.

Like I stated no update as of yet but servers are up
Hello, all!
I logged into Virtue about 40 minutes ago, and I was fine for about 2 minutes. Is that about when the maintenance started?
I ask this because my character and my screen just froze with the "Marserver" comment in the background. I was able to pull up the netgraph. It was showing a large solid green, which usually means a delay in info from the server to my computer. The odd thing was the "send" number was cycling down to zero.
I tried using the Menu to logoff, but there was no response. Then I tried to open my Task Manager to shutdown COH, but it would not load. All of my CPU power was being used. Finally, the "Send" amount reached zero, and the game closed.
The odd thing was I still couldn't do anything with my computer. Eventually, I found that the NCLauncher was using 100% of my CPU. Is that normal, and what can I do to stop that?
I was ultimately forced to cold-boot my system to stop the memory hog.
Very puzzling and disappointing. Not sure what to make of it.
Thanks in advance for all your kind replies.

Go to File->Settings, then, in the drop-down box, select the Exit Launcher setting. Now, whenever you click to play the game, the launcher will close.
This:
If the NCLauncher is taking up most of your CPU, then you can set it to close once you launch the game.
