Ever do a bonehead move like this?
I've been lucky enough not to vendor anything valuable... and notice.
But.
Last night, I Gmailed myself 30,000,000 to share between various alts. Logged in my new Warshade and brought up the email. I then deleted the gmail and clicked new to resend the rest, I'd planned on keeping around 5 million on this guy.
I forgot to hit claim...

You sure? Try throwing some bids on non-existent items and see if it drops in.

Negaduck: I see you found the crumb. I knew you'd never notice the huge flag.
Bought two stacks of 10 Black Blood of the Earth. They only cost me 15.5 million each.
Thank you, Champion.

I coulda swore you couldn't do that. Like, the claim button is replaced with the delete button, so you can't actually delete emails that have attachments...

Good to know, Ive stuffed up a few times in the past but never even thought about putting in a petition.
To the people accidentally vendoring stuff:
If you send in a support request with the name of the character, the server, the item (as exact as possible, I.E., a [Level] [Set] [Bonus Types] Recipe and the approximate time of your error, they should be able to help you with item recovery (note that this does have a 'statute of limitations' per se... it's best to do it immediately if you expect any kind of result. Otherwise you're pretty likely to get a 'we can't go back that far into the data logs' response). |
One thing that Ive done many times is while using the market UI to sell stuff, Ive done a search first to check the price history but then entered the sell amount in the buy field and pressed buy instead of sell. Once it was a purple enchantment, but at least it just meant I lost the commission when I had to resell it.
I have accentually sold at least one purple recipe to a vendor before, so now I trend to send any purple recipes I get to my own global name, so they sit in my email until I ready to sell or use them. Only a matter of time before I leave one in there for more than 50 days but

This is true and good advice.

I accidentally deleted an LotG 7.5% - mainly because of server lag. I was trying to sell the one above it, but it didn't sell. I clicked sell again, and that one plus the lotg went away.
The gm who assisted replaced it, took about a day or so, and asked me to be more careful.

@Ukase
I bought a stack of Alchemical Silvers a couple weeks ago for 1,000,000 each instead of 10,000. Does that count?
