Is it kosher to sell a Villain Group SG + Base?
if the leader said he might not come back and appoint you the new leader, then thats up to you if you want to wait
if your still have sentimental value in the sg then i would keep it and just wait for now, but if you are looking for a more active group then i would look into selling it to a good owner
in the end its really up to you
As long as you're not selling it for real money, sure. Only the devs are allowed to sell virtual items for real money

There's a market for used VG bases?
@MaskedSecretary
Hi Tessa,
Gonna chime in on the "it's your call" side on this one. One thing to note though. Since the previous leader is a previous subscriber, he likely WOULD be able to at least be a MEMBER of an SG. Forming one is a bit higher up the chain, but I believe anyone who is classified as "Premium" (has ever spent money on a version of the game, booster, expansion, or a single month subscription) can join SGs. He wouldn't be able to edit the base, under any condition, unless he became a VIP, but he could happily exist as a member, letting someone else run the show.

Reminder;
You are a Villain in charge of a villainous organization.
Therefor there is never a need to make sure something is 'Kosher' as ethics have no place in the Isles.
That said, I can't really see there being much demand for a used base.

the biggest factor though is the name of the group
Youre a villain, burn it to the ground just for the delicious tears of the innocents you left inside
Seriously though, you will find theres a market for bases, people that use the market or like to pack stuff are always looking for more storage
You could simply kick all the members that were not your own characters, and keep the base as super secret secure storage for yourself. If you were the only member, no one could raid your items. Just a thought.
@Viking Queen.
Unless your hurting for character slots or want to put all your characters in another group I'd just assume hang onto it. If you don't want to spare a vill to keep in the VG I'm sure there are folks with less alititus that could hold it on a lowbie for you
Space reserved for a super awesome Signature, someday...

Loose --> not tight.
Lose --> Did not win, misplace, cannot find, subtract.
One extra 'o' makes a big difference.
Thank you very much for clarifying a lot of things for me! I really hope he *does* return, it'd be nice to see him be a VIP sub again, as I could just fork over the cute li'l VG base & have done with it. He really did put a lot of work & inspiration into it. If he doesn't return at all after Freedom is released, then I'm guessing some infamy will cross my palm in return for it. But, important information I gained last night means I may be able to hand over the reins to another player in the group who has specifically told me he's returning. That makes me feel better, actually. Then I could go back to being a slacker/flunky Widow & kill/maim/damage to my heart's content without another base to worry over (I have a couple on other servers, 2 of my own, others "inherited" by default.) I may *play* a villain, but as a person I do respect other's feelings, especially for those who love this game. Thanks again!
Please weigh in with me on this: I was appointed as the Villain Group Leader of a now, very quiet base on Champion. It's well created, with all the needs aesthetic & practical for a medium sized VG. It's been more than a year and the previous leader has defected to D&DO. He did say he may not ever be back. He claimed his problem was the sub that he was having trouble making, but I know you can spend way *more* on a F2P game, especially D&DO. Even if he came back as a free player he couldn't even join his old VG, far less run it. Should I sell it and move on? It seems a little borderline to me, but I just can't justify simply leaving it to rot. People worked hard on this. It feels disrespectful to simply let it lay fallow. I know that SG/VGs cannot change names, but that's minor, at least in this case. It's got a pretty easily adapted redside name. Looking forward to hearing your opinions.
