Firefly did get wrapped up with a made-for-TV (or may have been straight to DVD) movie called Serenity.

Sort of like how Farscape was wrapped up with the mini-series, The Peacekeeper Wars.

Still, I think Firefly had a lot of potential for more seasons between the intro and the wrap-up. They spent an entire season developing the characters and then had a single movie to wrap it all up.

If you are interested in seeing how it all ended for them, the movie is currently available on Netflix streaming.

Serenity was released in the theaters. I don't know how well it did, but I liked the movie even having never watched Firefly.

Dark Skies and Threshold. Watching the alien invasions progress and the responses to them would be pretty interesting IMO.

If you want to expand past sci-fi.

My So-Called Life
Freaks and Geeks
Undeclared
Undergrads
Clerks: Animated
The Critic

And as far as Sci-Fi is concerned, I enjoyed Earth 2 when it was on.

I watched Earth 2 way back when and thought that it should have gotten a second season.

I liked Flashforward as well and would have liked to have found out more about the event. I know it kind of fizzeled out, but I still dug it.

I wanted to watch Threshold and I did see an episode or two, but by the time I got around to wanting to watch it, it was cancelled. I mainly wanted to watch for Carla Gugino.

Also going way back to stuff that was cancelled, I always wished that another network would have picked up The Flash or that there would have been another Superman TV show....not Smallville.

I was going to post several of the suggestions Bubbawheat put up, so instead I'll just say I think the channel woule need a name other than Second Chance.

To me a true "Second Chance Channel" would be one that renewed shows that were cancelled before their time, not just reran them. A channel consisting only, or mainly of reruns, would be better called the "Second Look Channel" IMO.

Oh here's a possibility I don't think anyone mentioned:

Jericho

Here's a question - if this station, we'll call it CTS (Cancelled too soon), did these re-runs and some of them got decent ratings. Would it be a good idea or bad idea to reboot the series with as many of the original creators as possible, maybe some of the same actors if it was feasible?

I think most people who are fans of the shows in question would love to see their series hit the boob tube again. However, I'm not sure I would be down for a reboot.

Jericho did have a second chance. It's demise was indicative of a genre problem (post-apocalyptic/conspiracy/mystery).

I'm not much for Sci-Fi at all, so I'd like to agree with the above, and add Greg The Bunny.

Thank you, Champion.

OK then, I'll change my answer to:

Carnivale
Deadwood
