VEAT Costume BUG

Why don't Crab Spider VEATs have glowing eyes?

When Beastyle was on Guardian server he looked at me and even he said this was odd.

I didn't check the Bane versions, but the Huntsman have glowing eyes.
ALL NPC Spiders have glowing eyes, and i want them on my Crab!

Red, or secondary color, or even a special option to have it separate, i really don't care, i just want my glowing eyes!

Post if u want them too!

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but couldn't you just go into the costume editor and choose for an aura to be eyes only? That'd be what you are after I believe.

I did flip through my Crab Spider's costumes during and weekend and noticed that my Slot #1 standard Arachnos uniform does not have glowy eyes. However, one of my other costumes that uses the Arachnos helmet does have the sequential blinking eyes... like the turn signals on an old Impala.

I would prefer that the lighting effects worked on all costumes, though if I had to choose bug fixes to make a high priority, this one would not make the list.

If they fix this bug, they really should allow folks the ability to change their cape's color as well. Just tossin' that out there.

i would not mind the glowing eyes for veats either so count me in

Lol always wanted a white cape for my "Arbiter" character. The black sort of throws it all off. Hnnggg.

Also is this bug only on SoA, or does it affect Widows too? (With the widow helmet, that is)

Not a bug as indicated by BAB at the above link.

Yeah, this is the biggest failure of City of Villans. The crab helmet eyes works for 1000s of [NPC] Crab Spiders of varying sizes and for players who got the helmets from the pre-order(which I would have but my pre-order code sheet was one of the ones that had been over-heated in transit to the store so the code area melted and stuck together rendering some of the codes numbers illegible). The fact that this has still NEVER been fixed is a shameful embarrassment. BABs' statement was for 2009. It STILL can't be fixed. Seriously?!?

I already sent a PM to Noble Savage about my issue: lets not forget the crab backpack being permanently stuck when NOT on crab spider builds.

An interesting addition, to give Crabs a cape option, would be a sort of "3/4 cape," extends from the bottom of the backpack's center, to the ground.

Or a bunch of smaller capes on the crab legs! I'd bet the first idea would be more plausible

I read the link, and yes, if they knew about this issue since 2009 why hasn't anyone really taken the time to try and fix this?

@Coolio's pictures regarding the cape, and even the two toned gloves are just amazing(ly simple). It's possible to simply edit the code and make people happy.

And if they can get the glowing eyes on the huntsman helmets, don't tell me they can not figure out how to put them on the Crab/Bane helmets!

I'll also bring up my posts in the old 2009 thread covering these very issues...

And yes I mentioned the cape and helmet eyes bugs.

I believe it should be possible to lower the head node on the SoA Bane/Crab player models...

By realigning the helm model to the node and lowering the node.

This should then:
  1. Fix the neck gap.
  2. Fix misaligned head auras.
  3. Fix any emote issues caused by the misaligned helm.
  4. Allow for the glowing eye effect.
  5. Allow for upper face options.
(Faces, masks, hair and upper face details - The opposite to the current Wolf ones.)
As for the Wolf Spiders:

Most of the helmetless NPC wolf spiders and their derivatives...
Have the Wolf two colour mask, which could be given to players as one of the Wolf Soldiers helmetless options.
Enjoy the old thread, and I'll repost my posts from there on request.

This is also WAD, the arms are meant to be attached to your spinal cord, rather than being a backpack, I could imagine ripping it off and going to the hospital to change to a costume without it would become annoying every costume change.

Currently if you don't like it don't take a Crab build!

Tho it would be nice to have the small crab or a domed backpiece as an option on non crab builds, negating the legs of the pack whilst still alluding to the original concept of them...

But with a second build now that build should not be stuck with the backpack but yet it is too.

The second build is like a pirate choosing a pistol or a cutlass he still has the wooden leg!

I brought my Crab Spider to Beta Server and got enough tokens to get the CoV Pre-Order VEAT Helmets. Went to a tailor to change an outfit, and guess what?! The Crab/Bane helmet....... has glowing eyes!

So, if it's possible to make those eyes glow, why isn't it possible to make the VEAT costume have glowing eyes?

So, in a nutshell:
NPC Crabs and Banes have glowing eyes,
Arachnos Lore pet bane has glowing eyes,
CoV Pre-Order VEAT helmets have glowing eyes,
Arachnos Soldier/Huntsman helmet has glowing eyes.

All but the VEAT version doesn't have glowing eyes?

Seems like the tech/coding is there to make it work.

The custom crab spider backpacks, and most custom armor pieces, have a reflection that is blue/green no matter what color you choose for them. So if I make my crab backpack black, on ultra mode it appears to be black/greenish blue due to the reflection. I wonder if they could fix that along with making my alt bane spider build have a cape, glowing crab helmet eyes, etc. >..<
