We lived aboard a sailboat, and she would get motion sick sitting on the pier. We wen't to the movies when it happened. I've seen ALOT of movies.

Yep thats me. I only played with that guy on my first day. He is now benched ready to be stripped and deleted. I have been playing (sorry cant remember CoH names yet) my tank, mezzer, mastermind and peacekeeper(?). I usually don't like to play melee classes, but the "auto taunt" seems to work well. I choose purple because that's my wife's favorite color. I know thats sounds corny, but I'm one of the wierd ones...I really like my wife. By the way, she is also my primary caregiver since my major stroke. Believe it or not, I'm the "lucky one".
She's chinese. Born in Hong Kong and raised in Chicago. When her mom saw my picture the first time she told my wife "so..he's white and fat". I wen't from that to being her favorite son-in-law. You never know.
On a game note. I still am learning "the ropes". Thank you brave people for teaming with me and showing me the CoH way. Constructive criticism always appreciated. Its the only way I'll get better. See you in the game. I hope I don't suck.

I've had issues ever since they introduced the ultra mode settings and have to be really careful with my graphics settings and the amount of time I play. The shadow mapping and FSAA settings can really tank the fps with some graphics cards and were triggering migraines when I played, so I've had to mess with the defaults a bit to get it to a point where I can play (and even still, low or no FSAA mess me up, so I have to deal with low fps and just limit my playtime). Not sure what kind of graphics card she's sporting or if these same settings are what is causing your wife's motion sickness, but it could be worth taking a look. |

The "straw that broke the camels back" was 3 trips a week to the Seattle VA hospital for therapy. Not being able to drive, the 6 hour round trip (if we hit the ferries just right) took us both out of the action 3 days a week. Not to whine, but that was pretty tough on the whole business gig.
Whats this "fire alarm" post I get every now and again in CoH? I assume its a "all hands on deck" to kill something or another, but not enough info for my newb brain to process.
It talks about a zone event, such as a certain GM or GM's in an area, or certain happening such as a Zombie attack/Rikti Attack/ or a the fires in steal. Some of them you can get an accolade like with the Rikti one, or costume piece like with the Zombies.
A fat, white, one-armed man married to a Chinese woman? *sniffles* It's like you were hand-picked for this server...
