Might of the Tanker: Thumbs down

You know, why not just take one thing that they've managed to do every other time they've given us a proc: it turns the slotted power into an AoE attack. Just purposefully make the proc they give us proc off gauntlet.

Edit: Other alternatives:
The enhancement makes it so every proc we've got has a chance to fire off of gauntlet.
The enhancement gives us a 20% chance of any attack becoming an AoE attack, and doing that damage to up to 5 enemies in the gauntlet radius.

You know what would be awesome?

If Might of the Tanker, slotted in your T1, caused bruising to everything affected by Gauntlet.

Ohhh, yeah......

I'll settle for a dev chiming in that changing the set is even on the table.
Because by this point I'm starting to think they're dead set on the +Res and they've shafted Tankers, again.

Well, the +res is VERY nice, make no mistake.

It would be even nicer if the bonus would raise the tanker's res cap by that amount.

Suddenly: AWESOME.

Eh, the +res is only nice on select builds. Invuln would pretty much be meh for lethal/smash, stone is in the same boat. Fire, elec, and dark armor might enjoy it, but only for a little while, and only if the proc rate, and percentage of it is worth actually using (as those builds can still get upwards of 50% lethal/smash resistance, plus usually 90% resistance to their specific damage type (being energy, fire, and negative) SR and ice could use use, but it would have to proc at the same time of them getting hit, and SR has the scaling resistance that will help out more (and could even cap their resistance at very low HP values)

Willpower is basically the only armor that i see using, and abusing the +res proc, due to the layered mitigation built into willpower already, and the fact that +regen is multiplied by resistance and defense values to make things even more durable.

Does "Chance to crit improved 20%" mean "15% goes to 35%" or "15% goes to 18%"?

How would I know?
That's just what is written on the IO.

If they're going to add +Res to it, it should at least be a flat addition to it, instead of a chance to do it.

They've been seen in the store, AFAIK, so they should be able to be bought whenever they arrive.

Positron also said the new Signature arcs will have "special rewards", so there's another possibility.

I like to call them "fast attack Tanks". Sounds cooler. My fave way to build Tanks.

i have my fire tank with two builds...a solo resistance build and a defensive team build.

the 2nd one is soft capped in s/l the other is close to the cap at 86%...if i can find slots and look to slot this set itll pretty much cap me. now the issue would be where and with what slots.
