Darkness Superteam on Justice
Just wondering where everyone is meeting up tonight?

Yes, the glass is half full, there is always another perspective and no they are not following you.
i'll come on and have a look but if the lag's as bad as it's been of late then I may not stick around. I seem to be spending an inordinate amount of time eating floor due to excessive lag and rubberbanding. I used to play on Freedom and Virtue, so my threshold for annoyance at such things is fairly high. That may give a hint at how ...irritated i'm becoming. Anyway, hope to see you all there we'll see what we see.

Speaking of SGs, my guess is that we'll want to decide (possibly tonight) if we're initially going blue or red, and if we want a new SG or to reuse an old one. Historically, going hero then vigilante has been preferred.
Quote of the moment: This, too, shall pass.
Justice superteamers: We have a website now, in case the forums get closed early. If you've ever run with us, come visit us again before the curtain falls. We're running bucket list characters--anything you've always wanted to play but never got around to.
Ugh...I'm sorry to hear that you're having problems with your puter. Hopefully, this is just post issue bugs and they'll get worked out.
|
Hopefully if it's issues on their end they get them fixed soon. I can't see it being anything on my end as i've not changed my set up and haven't had any problems outside of the game in a while. Guess we'll see.
...and there's RL knocking. Have fun folks and hope to see you on Sunday!
Great night all. We ganged up on the Seed of Hamidon running amok in the First Ward and beat it down. XP buff for everybody
Since we're close to leaving Praetoria, the subject of what side the group would end up on came up. It's true that the last few groups that we've ran have gone blue side. We could go red side to be different. Here's some things that we might want to keep in mind.
1) It's true that we haven't gone red side in a while. However, unlike blue side, red side is fairly easy to get around. Any place that anybody might need to go is off a black helicopter or ferry.
2) Blue side is not as easy to get around. A base would come in handy for quick travel between zones. And blue side is a merit trough.
3) With the bonus from having Praetorians join a sg, the prestige quickly adds up. We could start a new group that has a name reflects the current theme and coalition with existing groups to use those bases.
4) We could also join an existing group. Mutants and Mayhem currently has enough prestige to buy the largest base size. If we add to that, we could have a big shiny base. I can't find it but I remember that one of the devs said that there was cool things in the works for bases.
Personally, my preference is to join an existing group. It is fun to have a name to match our theme. However, one of the issues that I have with starting new groups is starting with a fresh base. I really don't mind building new bases; my issue is with having to use other bases while building up the resources for a new group. It seems to me that people get used to the base that we're coalitioned with and aren't used to the new base. I really like the idea of starting out with a fully functional base.
This is just my 2 inf. I'll go along with whatever the group wants when it's decided.

I can go either way. I know Carnage & Cutlery (blades team) has a modest base. The other redside group is traps, right? How is its base?
Overall I have a slight preference for blueside. Either way, I would like to have us decide Sunday. I need to unlock my next costume slot.

The traps group, Bombs and Bullets, has a functional base. It's not the biggest but I'm pretty sure it's not the smallest. It has enough amenities for a group to get around.

I know for the build i planned, i will be taking a patron pool. So i would prefer red to lesson the amount of tips need to convert. If the decision is blue, then maybe we can start a subgroup/team3 once will hit APP/PPP range and those who want to transfer vill and then rogue for patron could dedicate a couple of sessions to working on those. Anyway, just a thought. I like the idea of starting a new SG, but have no problem merging with a current one to continue making a massive SG one.

Things have certainly changed since I started playing this game. Villains could only hit 40. Grandville and the patron pools didn't exist.

Tonight we had a vote and the results are in. Pedro wins!... Wait, that's not right.
We voted to go blue side and join an existing group. Mutants and Mayhem will be our sg when we get to Primal Earth. I stocked a couple enhancement racks in base with level 25 common io's for use by superteam members. I'll keep an eye on them and restock them as needed. Let me know if there's a common you need that's not in there.
If you find yourself needing an Ouro portal, it can be acquired quite easily. Take the base teleporter to the echo of Galaxy City, the beacon to Galaxy still works, it just drops you in the echo. Head to the tram and take it to Ouroborous. Get the badge. Enjoy your new Ouro portal.
Have a good week all and hope to see you on Friday. I think we'll be finishing up First Ward and going vig to access both sides.

Would there be any interest in running the Signature Story arcs that went live the other day? They take about a half hour and I found them to be fun.
Otherwise known as EF
I would be all for the signature story arcs. Then we can work on vig tips afterwords or a another tf.
People have started joining Mutants and Mayhem today. I counted how many we have in the SG and by my calculations, we can add about 100 more people.
When we have a few more Praetorians join, there should be enough prestige to upgrade to the largest base (yay us ). I'm planning on doing the base upgrades on Saturday.
My question now is-what theme should I decorate the base in? Should I go for a dark magic type theme or a dark tech type theme?
Otherwise known as EF
magic, i think the majority may have been magic origin...
I'd vote dark tech or a mix. The other two SGs sharing the base are more tech-oriented (radiation and guns).

I'd vote for a mix. As Starry noted, we have tech and now magic based groups using the base, so a little diversity would be nice.
PC
Penumbral Current, Proton Chill, Particle Combat, Clay Pebble, Talon Spirit
@Rock Flash
Guardian is my home server, but will play for fun anywhere
I think that a mix would be great, kind of a technomage-Neuromancer kind of style.
I've started editing the base already but it's still very much a work in progress. For a project like this that is a mix of styles, I'll make the edits in a few phases. Hopefully, I'll have time to finish tomorrow after Baub leaves on his trip.

Base is still a work in progress. I should be able to finish in a couple more sessions. This week I have a bit more time for base creation because Baub is out of town. If you have any feedback or suggestions please let me know.
There was a couple teams running tonight. I think the other team was running First Ward. My team ran some vig tips and squeezed a Moonfire in. If anybody that was in my group wants to finish getting the Atlas Medallion, let me know and I'll help with that.
Otherwise known as EF
count me in for the atlas medallion group. looking forward to friday and see the new updates.
edit: Logged in real quick to put envy in her room and noticed the "MP4LIFE" on the wall. Highlight of the day EF. Truely awsome
I have learned two things recently: Justice SuperTeamers are nice and SuperTeams are fun. (I usually run solo or with the occasional PUG) I have been running my first Corrupter ever, and have been having fun while trying to find balance in a new archetype. I don't talk much because I am shy and a bad multi tasker. To make up for it I thought I should stop in here and do a little over sharing by way of expressing my appreciation.
I look forward to Friday and thank those who formed and maintain this group.

In other news, I've been working on the base some more. I'm not sure when I'll be done but I heard good things so far. Feel free to take a look around and let me know if you have any thoughts or feedback.

I may be a no show tomorrow due to a school project that has me in full research mode. I am planning to show up sunday! So yeah, boo to RL....
